Why would anyone do that? I thought we posted in threads cos they were diversifying and we were enjoying the conversation rather than trying to get high replies. What's the point of high replies? Who cares?

Why is it that when someone doesn't like a reply they get, they automatically start posting like a tosser? Surely the one time you really don't want to sound like a tosser is when you're trying to prove you've not really just been shown up as one?

This thread's a classic example:
