What an obscure race. I like rain days in F1 as much as the next person, but can we have a dry one next time?! That's two in a row.

The minute i hit submit they bought the bloody safety car in

I'm pleased for Vettel, he's a very good driver, and finally has a half decent car to race in. I agree about the weather too, the last 2 races have been a bit :|

I'm annoyed, I slept in and missed the first half of the race.

I agree with you Munki, it would be interesting to have a dry race next time to see how the drivers cope without any rain for a change.

I think it's great that the other teams are doing so well this season so far. It's a good change to the big teams dominating the races and they must be very worried about their chances for any decent points this year.

You missed the start then? Safety car from the off is just wrong!

Haha no, i was watching from the start. Then when i came on here and posted, they bought the bloody thing in. and yes, saftey car from the off is stupid, but i guess when they have TV contracts to stick to, plaus other timing issues, they cant delay for too long. They should have just let them race, i didn't think it was 'that' bad myself, i've definitly seen worse at Spa over the years.

Really enjoyed the race, Vettel did a stunning job, and still no points for Ferrari. This may be the best and most unpredictable season for many years.

Absolutely agreed.

I was disappointed for Sutil, I rate him - must have been gutting to come off that close to the end.

If that McLaren is improving as quick as it looks to be, we could well have two British drivers in with a shot of the Championship come the end of the season...

Yeah I heard that. They are looking strong for this race. I wouldn't want to be racing in 37 degree heat mind you. Thats a killer. Do we know if McLaren have changed their defuser and running KERS for this race?

I think you mean "diffuser". A "defuser" would be something altogether scarier!

I believe they have a newly designed diffuser, yes, and I believe they are still using KERS, which appears to be the best KERS system in the pack. Friday practice is far too early to tell if they are ready to win races yet though, if they are, it'll be a remarkable turnaround in such a short time. Which, as Brawn have shown us, is very possible.

He is a good driver, but given the same car, Lewis would be consistently quicker in my opinion. The others are closing the gap on Brawn relatively quickly - particularly McLaren - it remains to be seen whether they will be quick enough or not.

I agree with that. Jenson has to make the advantage that he has at the moment count.

Well you can't fault him on that at the moment can you? I agree that Hamilton is probably the better driver but after the almost fairytale and the fairytale of the last two years it seems almost inevitable that he is going to hit some stickiness this season. I was interested to hear that apparently he seriously considered giving up and retiring from F1 after the "lying" scandal in the first race - I would have liked to have heard more about that, I wonder why exactly he felt that way? Still - I'm happy he decided not to and is going to stay in there and battle.

I think that's because Ron Dennis - who is clearly far too outspoken for the FIA's liking - is no longer there. Martin Whitmarsh, credit to him, has been totally honest to the media and (judging by the FIA's comments) with the FIA. He hasn't dodged any awkward questions, that will have gone in their favour.

However, it remains to be seen what the FIA determine as a sufficient rule breach to enforce the suspension... winning a race probably.

Did anyone else watch Spanish Grand Prix yesterday? What a crash!

Also saw Lewis Hamilton's interview at the end - he's not at all happy!

I thought that actually... he clearly says that he knows that Ross Brawn wouldn't do that.

Ferrari have withdrawn from the 2010 F1 Championship in protest at the new regulations.

Ferrari trying to hold the FIA to ransom again. The FIA will buckle as usual, but I wish they'd just sod off.

To be fair though, Red Bull and someone else have also threatened to pull out over the 40 million cap issue.
