Aled, I think I speak for the regulars when I say you have our full support in this matter. However there aren't enough expletives to quite cover my total contempt for this man. I'll leave comments to the more eloquent members of the forum who may be able to express themselves without resortng to questioning his parentage and his possibile illegitimacy.

I echo that, anyone who listens to the show knows what a load of crap this guy is spouting. It just goes to show that he will make up any crap, and i wouldn't be suprised if the Radio 'source' who kicked off this whole thing was one of his journalists trying to make a name for themselves.

Immature crap. From The Sun and Gaunt. As someone pointed out earlier, the powers that be at The Sun need to keep an eye on this - there's bound to be a large crossover in their readership and the Breakfast Show audience, and they're going to start running against popular opinion.

As for Gaunt, comments like that make him irrelevant. If I was in CM's position I'd just ignore him, he's too far away to be worth wasting time on.

Some of us (myself included) have said that we feel Chris is at his best when he lets himself go and has a good old rant - this has massive potential to be one of his best rants yet.

I think the point he was making is that he doesn't need to. As he said he has in the past enjoyed a good relationship with the Sun and doesn't want to ruin that. I think a lot of people were expecting a huge rant and it may have played into their hands.

He handled it very well. Not as entertaining as threatening to give him a new office certainly but effective nonetheless.

Thought that Chris put him properly in his place.

Problem now is that if Chris had been planning to move on later this year (which is what I suspect, not long after getting the record), it will now look like he was pushed instead of leaving on his own terms. And I suspect that this 'journalist' (I use the term loosely) knows this.

I thought it was handled very well. I was kinda hoping for a big rant, but as has been said, it was probably best that he didn't do it. If The Sun follow this up, I thought it was a very calm shot across the bows and if The Sun follow it up, they can be in little doubt that they will incur the full might of his wrath. Personally I hope they do.

Also.. what evidence are people using to predict Chris will leave by the end of the year? I don't see it myself. You're making predictions like The Sun, but without the means to print it for three million people to read.

Judging by the way Aled and Chris's agent were franticaly phoning people on saturday it looks like it wasnt just a publicity stunt,and I doubt they would do that to Chris's fans just for publicity.
