Edith Bowman posted on her twitter account yesterday that she was 'exhausted' after interviewing Hugh Jackman.Seems she is too exhausted to turn up to do her show today, not for the first time this year.Chris hasnt taken a single day off sick in over 5 years of doing breakfast. It would be nice if certain other DJs were as conscientious as he is!
ps if shes off because a close relative has died or something obviously thats a different matter

pps Huw Stephens on daytime again though-I think he will be announced as new presenetr of weekend breakfast any day now...

Who cares? The reason she may be off is of no concern to any of us. We should all just be grateful that she is off.

Its DJ holiday season that much is obvious! Wiley, Bowman and Greg James are all off this week? Mills next then Moyles. They are entitled to time off just as much as the rest of us!!

That said the amount of time Fern Cotton has off does sometimes seem a little extreme. Not long after they got weekend afternoons she seemed to only be available 1 weekend a month or something.

Whiley and Bowman can talk as much time off as they need if we're going to get Coxy and Stephens to fill in. I've actually enjoyed Radio 1 all day for the first time in a long while!

I was chuffed to bits when I heard Edith wasnt going to be on today. Felt much the same when I heard Jo was going to be off this week, though that had more to do with the fact I like Sara Cox. Jo Whiley is ok in my book.

"Chris hasnt taken a single day off sick in over 5 years of doing breakfast."

However he has got drunk and lost in Cardiff at one point and missed a show! (if memory serves to be correct)

The only thing I've liked of Edith's lately was her interview with Hugh Jackman. But that, clearly, was much more to do with him than her.

Hubba Hubba.

Which indicates a very easy going interviewee rather than a good interviewer.

Didn't she have a baby recently?

Probably summat to do with the kid.

Well, either that or she was dancing the Can Can with a robotic Pirate on the good shop Wenslydale.

Yeah, they all do it. Comedians tell the same jokes, film stars tell the same stories etc.. It's all very formulaic.
