Cat and Topher were the first car waiting at the MK indoor ski centre when Aled arrived there this morning. However - Chris told Aled to get in the car and go somewhere else - and somehow they managed to lose him.

When Aled announced he was in the park off Newport Road, they headed over that way, but by the time they got there the tickets were all gone.

What a sad tale, of endeavour, hope, disappointment and ultimate tragedy. Or is it....?

When the crowds in the park had dispersed, in a final burst of initiative our two intrepid ticket seekers went and spoke to Aled, and introduced themselves as Topher and Catherine from cm.net. Aled immediately said that Chris would be really angry if he turned them away empty handed, because they are representing his fansite, and presented them with "Guest List" passes.

Topher and Cat have asked me to post their grateful thanks to Chris Harris for being the reason they will be at the Chris Moyles Show Karaoke Night tonight!

Ah, but it was all worth it... what an exciting morning!

Can I say a massive thank you to Aled, he really didn't have to do that.

Cat didn't want her photo taken because she didn't have time to do her make up this morning and she thought she didn't look very attractive.

Aled actually looks much better in person!

I managed to beat the traffic at Woughton and managed to get 4 wristbands (I was just passing on the H8 when they mentioned it the location)... however, I dont think i will be able to make it as I've got an early flight to Amsterdam tomorrow morning and need to be London tonight.

if your are interested in going please contact me with offers at:

Sorry tickets have now gone. Thanks.

Also a good point. So, this guy takes four free wristbands for an event that he knows he can't attend, then joins a fansite to try and get offers for them. Nice one.

You both make fair and valid points. It's only when i got to work and opened the envelope i realised it was 4 wristbands (assumed there would only be two).
I have tried to rearrange my plans so i can got tonight but as its start so early my girlf cant get here from Oxford (leaving work at 5.30pm).

I work in a remote office where the 2 older ladies I work with are more Radio 4 or classic FM fans - and dont appreciate Chris' style of humour.

If there are some big Chris Moyles fans out there who think that I would be doing them a favour then they can contact me... ok that might be unlikely but was just exploring all avenues - because i dont want the tickets to go to waste... and I did go a little bit out of my way to get them!

Good morning everyone!

As lovely as all this is - I need to set the record straight because I will get into a lot of trouble from this version of what happened. Topher and Cat are on my guestlist. Each team is given a couple and my friends couldn't make it.

I just appreciate all the loyalty some of the members of this website have to the show so I gave them my allocation :)

And that was only because I know they post so much. Using CM.net is not some magic phrase that gets you past the BBC's very fair and honest ticket allocation!! :)

I'll let you know if they sing :)

Nice to know Chris (M) does really like us on here, even if we are all nostalgic, complaining, over-analysing, obsessive freaks.

Nice one Aled, Chris M and Chris H. And Well done Topher and Cat.

I was panicking afterwards wondering if this might get you into trouble - but I did make it clear that they got Guest List passes NOT tickets, so I hoped that would be ok - sorry Aled, I clearly didn't go far enough with that. I certainly wasn't attempting to imply that there was anything "backstairs" about what they, or you did, because there obviously wasn't. It was a good story though, and needed to be told!

This is why I'm forbidden from mentioning anything my friends do, just in case. I have a gagging order on me. I've been quite restrained as well. However, it IS a good story even if it does need BBC editorial policy stamped all over it in these dark times.

I would think that the mere fact that you have mentioned that you have friends who work at R1 means that however brilliantly qualified or role-perfect you might be, you are never ever ever going to be able to get a job there in case someone says it was fixed.

And someone needs to make sure they drink enough to sing, I know they both will if the alcohol levels are adequate......

I don't need a job there. I'm too old and too underqualified anycase. I live my life vicariously through others.

I do agree about having lots to drink. It's a well known fact to those that know it well that ability to sing karaoke is directly proportional to quantity of alcohol consumed.

I will possibly feel guilty now if I don't sing, so I at least will be having a drink before we get there to try and get myself to the required level of inebriation.

We are both a bit skint, though, so I'm not promising anything.

I don't know the owner of Punters or what his number plate is, so I must have missed that.
