Chris Moyles Quiz night is PAINFULLY bad.

It wouldn't be half as bad if it was just a talk show.

aLED, do you think it will get a second series? :?

and can i have the 15 minutes that i wasted watchng it back?

Chris is great on radio, i'm a fan, but his tv show is bab.

I have to say well said Aled, I just hope the doubters take this on board & realise that Chris is NOT a homophobe & that we all make slips of the tongue on odd occasions (ALL of us)

However, as well all know, there will always be people in this world who sadly have great pleasure in destroying things others like just because they don't like it.

To quote the Second Doctor in The Enemy Of The World: "People spend all their time making nice things, and then other people come along and break them."

And sadly that's true in today's world :(

Aled, would you mind if I copy/pasted your post above into the next thread started by some brainless halfwit who joins the site just to stir up trouble? I thought that was fantastic.

Andy B wrote:Aled, what's the deal with the video side of the show. You teased us with best bits clips and live streaming for a week at a time and then we hear nothing. The live streaming was great and loads of fun and then it got snatched away from us to make us want it more.

It was a trial. We learned LOADS.

It's coming back soon - with some changes. I think it's going to be a week again although that's not been confirmed yet.

It's all very cool!!

I'm happy about this. I never got to see any of it live but the interviews (Gordon Ramsey I remember) were shown on the site later which I enjoyed. One thing I think would be a good idea though is to give a bit of notice for when you are going to be doing it. I for one am fascinated by seeing the goings on of the show live on screen and if dates fit I would even book a week off work to make sure I catch it live every day ( I know I am sad!).

I know you wont cater just for me, but a couple of weeks notice would be great :)

Hiya Aled,
Recently i have been hearing people (including yourself when on the Surgery) refer to the station as BBC Radio 1, i have also noticed that the Big Weekend is also branded as BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend. I know that is it's full name, however nobody ever used to call it that (except Nihal) so i was wondering whether that is what everyone will be moving towards and if so will it turn out that the station VOs will be saying it on the sweeper/idents etc eventually? Also what is the reason for this?
Thanks for your time.

Yes, the BBC is being reintroduced. We love being part of the BBC so we've been told we should include it if we want to when referencing the station.

Aled, was the delay in the show on Wednesday being put on iplayer purely down to the swearing incident, and if so why did editing it out take so long? Or could another explanation be working out whether the Jewish castration/circumcision would cause offence?

And a minor, ultra pedantic point on my part here is that I think there should be a link on the "Latest Running Order" section of the website to "Listen to the latest Chris Moyles Show". It is a minor source of irritation that I read through the running order to decide which parts I want to listen to again, then have to click back to the homepage to listen again, then have to return to the running order again to remind myself what the order is.

Wow, I've just made myself look like the saddest man on earth there. Love the show and virtually everything the entire team do.

Very insightful comments and questions.

There were certain considerations to take into account from Wednesday's show that needed to be discussed before the show went back up on iPlayer. Even if there hadn't been it's not as simple as you'd think to "just" edit a swear word out. The whole show works as one file - we use WAV files which work in hundreds of megabites per show which is then recoded to the streaming format, this then needs to do some sort of techie stuff which online looks after - but I picked up something about servers needing updating (iPlayer servers are BBC wide not just within Radio 1 anymore) plus people (plural) need approving the new edit of the show.

The Latest Running Order is a bugbare of mine too if I was honest. The reason why it hasn't been updated is because we've been 'weeks' away from a newly redisigned Chris Moyles show homepage for around a year and a half (current thinking is when we're back from our hols) which will integrate things much differently. I've been involved in the redesign from day 1 and it's all very cool. Ultimately when it happens it'll be a compromise of what we initally wanted but that's to be expected.

Hi Aled. Just wanted to say thanks for popping back and answering questions more frequently. It's always appreciated. Are you enjoying being back in Aber this long weekend?

I've heard Aled call it Aber loads.

I'm very intelligent actually, probably why i think His TV show is Dogshit....

Because it clearly is.

Fair do's if you like it though.

Thanks for that reply, Aled. I understand your diplomacy in your second sentence. And I also look forward to the new design of the website.

Love Aled's line as he walked into the studio on Monday morning. Class.

However, we're supposed to ask a question here, so - Aled, does this kind of incident with a tabloid fundamentally change the show's relationship with the paper, or does it normally just blow over and end up being something which got both sides a bit of extra publicity?

As Chris said on Monday, the show has a long history with The Sun as a whole, and not just Gordon Smart. Will this have changed the course of it?
