Seconded. Kudos to the big man.

He was looking good as well!

Johnny 1989 wrote:The reason he's still classed as obese is due to the BMI, which is being questioned by health professionals at present. For example Sir Steve Redgrave was classed clinically obese because he's 18 stone, but he's 18 stone of muscle. That's why Moyles is probably still classed as obese, although now I'd say chunky. He does look better slimmer though & has inspired me to lose some weight (I bloody need to as well   )

Thats actually not true - the BMI is calculated using three variables, height, weight and body fat percentage. If calculated properly with these three variables, Steve Redgrave would have a very healthy BMI. Unfortunately though it seems to have become accepted that you calculate BMI from height and weight only, which gives stupid results because its simply wrong. It all stems from a misuse of the term BMI, which is a clinical measurement, not a domestic one.

I thought he was great, he's mellowed a lot since the climb, but has obviously kept his cheekiness, he just wasnt so full on with it. Looked great too!!

Me too, i've lost around 1 1/2 stone so far. Just need to keep going as I was listening to Radio 1 (during chris' climb) when I was loosing it.

Congratulations to you, I hope to shift about 1 1/2-2 stone before I go to visit my cousin in Hong Kong round about October/November time. Dam it, it's time for me to stop staying up late (thus having a lack of energy the next day) get back on the Wii, and give up cheese & bread for a while (Cheese will be quite easy for me, even though I love it, however bread can be a weakness for me, I shall have to swap it for pasta most days of the week)

Yes it seems to be these days, when I was last weighed at my doctors he weighed me & measured my height & didn't once mention my fat percentage (the Wii did but I'm not going to share that with everyone  ). I'd imagine if that had been taken into account with Sir Steve then he wouldn't have been classed as obese at all.

Yeah I noticed that too. He kept playing with his jacket and touching the side of his head lots. Perhaps he is more nervous when he is trying to be himself.

It was nice that he was on last too as that meens he was the main guest of the evening ( I think ).

He frequently says that he is a different person when not on the radio and it does appear to be the case. Fearne said pretty much the same yesterday morning.

I watched it yesterday, and I have to say I didn't know what you were talking about, he seemed perfectly fine to me. And he and Jonathan seemed to get each other very well, some funny stuff.

Yeah, he was commenting on us criticising him for being nervous - whilst ignoring all the good things we did say.
Fair enough I suppose!

To be fair, he can make more of a comic rant out of complaints rather than the positives :)

Yeah, it used to annoy me a bit, but now I can see why he does it. Where would the fun be in telling 7,999,980 people that his fan site is complimenting him? :D

Hulla everyone, i'm back from snowboarding - with a busted ankle!!! Whoop!!

Obviously missed this on Friday, but just managed to catch it on iPlayer - what a quality interview. And I see what you girls mean - isn't Chris looking soooooo much better these days. Compare him now with, say, his book covers, he's so much thinner - everywhere. Really pleased for Chris, being a fan since the 'gym lady Jane' days, its good that he has managed to loose some and sounding like he'll keep it off.... But yeah, great interview with JR, seemed very relaxed and natural. Did hear on Radio this morning about the 'scratrching ear and playing with cufflinks' so was prepaered for that, but I didn't think he looked uncomfortable, just doing what any man would do when plonked in unusual clothing!!

Good Moyles insight.

Oh, and Doherty is a tit. Sorry, but.....

Yeah, I heard it. Was nice to get a mention as it shows he takes note of what we say but its a shame he ignored the positives. I said it was his best interview, yet he focussed on what wasnt even a negative and turned it into one.. All of us said how well he came across and and the "nervous thing is a side issue.

Anyway, I have watched most of the JR episodes and quite often his A- List Hollywood stars seemed nervous, so it is nothing to be ashamed about.

Meh. Just people over-analysing Chris' movements on Ross the other night apparently. By and large not the worst mention the forum has had.
