1) Because a badger steals one of the fishes!
2) Less than you were making. Some bugger tries to cut my salary by third and I leave!

Ancient Inferno

A building that was constructed in 30BC was destroyed by a fire three quarters of a century later. In which year was it destroyed?

Speed Racing

Johnny Gallop has had countless tumbles while riding his horse, often causing him great pain, not to mention embarrassment. However, Johnny never for one minute doubts his racing ability, and everyone else considers him to be a consumate professional.

How can this be?

Think everyone except Andy B got mine right so just for him

Two fathers and two sons go fishing, and each catches one fish to take home. Why do they bring only three fish home?

They are a boy, his father, and his father's father, so there are two fathers and two sons, but only three people total

If you increase what you make in a year by 50%, and then the next year it falls by a third, are you making:
A) The same amount as you were making originally.
B) More than you were making originally.
C) Less than you were making originally.

A. Anytime you increase something by half, and then decrease it by a third, you end up where you started. Plug some numbers into this and it is easy to see. (40 increased by half is 60. Then take away a third of 60 and you are back to 40.)

I hate riddles. They rarely make sense or are just stupid. Puzzles I don't mind as long as they are logical but riddles are just annoying.

I can't be buggered with em. It's a waste of my intellect when I could be doing something else far more productive.

Some easier ones for ya.

Leap Year

Which month has 29 days in a leap year?

April Fool

What can be seen in the middle of March and April that cannot be seen at the beginning or end of either month?

Poor Visibility

On the day that President Nixon took office he held his first meeting in a south-facing room at the White House. It was daylight and it wasn't rainy nor was it foggy, yet when he looked out the window, he couldn't see the top of the Empire State Building. Why not?

I have to say I thought this lot were a bit easy. If I can do them without even thinking about them then they must be a doddle.

Andy - yer a tit. A grade A tit. How anyone can make that mistake... it's beyond me.

These were easier, but noone was getting the February one. And a couple of people need to brush up on their American geography (except Sunny, who needs to brush up on the other two).
