I just read about this tragic accident that happened today.A woman has been kileld while climbing up a hill.It just makes you realise how dangerous what Chris and the team, are doing this weekend is.There are some really bad conditions out there so if your thinking of going hill climbing take plenty of food and safety gear and tell someone where your going! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/hig ... 862895.stm

Ha ha, as if! Climbing Snowdon is not at all tricky, I've been doing it since I was 8!

She wasn't killed when she was climbing the hill. She was killed when she fell off it.

Also, I drove through the Cairngorms last night. I wouldn't recommend climbing them right now considering how cold and windy it was.

I tell you what, it's bloody freezing here today. I wouldn't have wanted to climb or walk up Mount ShushDave today. Bugger that for a laugh.

Its not difficult if you follow the easy trail in good weather, or do one of the other trails with a reasonable grasp of how to stay safe. The number of people who need to be rescued off Snowdon every year would tend to indicate that under some circumstances it is considerably more than merely tricky.

A TRUELY terrible accident and indeed one that gives you pause to think of the dangers of the open hillside. Everyone who was with her was experienced climbers and the mountain rescue teams were training right where she fell. I know the group she was with and they are devastated by the events of that day. A terrible loss for all who loved and would have loved her. Condolences to her family.
