It seems ages since Moyles (and Dave, Dom, Rachel, Carrie, Aled (and Matt)) have been on the radio. Even with them being on all day NY Day it still ages especially with no real podcast today

Wonder what new features will be on the show.... if any

I'm sure I heard one of the new jingles during the half hour of Scott Mills I listened too this morning, it sound more "rocky" but not in the sense of the guitar solo jingle that already exists. Not sure if anybody else heard it.

I havent heard anything new but I have heard them still using the jingle with the old lang syne guitar bit in it. I cant wait for new jingle just so that isnt used any more. Don't get me wrong, I love it but it's just too late to be using it.

Interesting, perhaps they used that one as it was Scott's last show?

I'll have a listen back on today's show & see if I can find that jingle.

I'm really looking forward to Monday. I've enjoyed Mills more than I normally do (probably down to Chappers), but it'll be good to have the team back.

Nah they've been using it all week. I hope the new jingles aren't too different, I like the current tunes :D

Apologies I've used the completely wrong word, I meant Trailer not jingle, I do wonder if Scott's are going to be updated or left as they are?

I haven't found the trailer so far on today's, perhaps it was on yesterdays?

if that is the new jingle bed, I like it! Definetly sounds fresh.
While Scott has been doing an ok job this time, it does seem like forever since Chris has been on air.
Was odd to hear Dom doing the evening newsbeat today, guess they still have to put in the hours.

I do actually, it does sound different to some of the other new ones they've introduced in the past but not too different so that it's glaringly different (if you get what I mean).

Funny thing is that all of them have been off (roughly) at exactly the same time & for the same amount of time, but I used to remember on the afternoon show (especially in 1999-2000) that they would all take their holidays seperately, except (I think) Chris & Dave. One of the shows I uploaded here (I think it's 11/9/2000), Richard Blackwood had been covering for Moyles for the last two weeks, Melinda had been on air for at least the second week & Rhys still had an extra day to Chris & Dave. That doesn't seem to happen these days.

The cameras are back!

For those that missed it when they tried this out back in April, it was a great insight into the visual goings on in that studio.

Heres a collection of clips, trailer style:

Thats god news about the cameras, it was quite funny watching all the goings on last time.
However I really hope that this time they will make the live video available to internatioanl listeners, last time I had to wait for copies of the days highlights to trickle out onto youtube :?

To answer my own question from yesterday, yes the video show was available outside the UK, however from what Chris mentions about 28minutes in this tomorrow its meant to be kept quiet that its avialable outside the UK!

Que a chorus of "the BBC are wasting our licence fee, blah blah f***ing-blah" complaints from the Heil & Sexpress.

TBH I applaud the BBC for this, it's nice to see at least a few stations giving us innovative features for show, plus I'm not aware of any other groups of Radio stations that give you the option to listen to a show again up to seven days after it was broadcast.
