The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

No, but at some point in the next week I'm going to have to reset my sleep pattern to something sensible for work next week. I know from past experiences what actually happens is I'll be lying in bed on Sunday night trying to get an early night and I won't be at all sleepy and I'll probably get 3 hours at most before the alarm goes off. I'll then spend the whole of next week knackered before I can catch up with my sleep the following weekend.

That, however, is a concern for later in the week. Right now my only concern is how many of these Cookies I should eat. I'm thinking all of them.

Well, it depends what kind they are. If they're M&S then you go to town on those bad boys! Maryland just aren't as good as some people say.

I keep trying to watch That '70s Show or Family Guy, but I'm too tired to pay attention, but I also can't sleep. Quelle predicament. Maybe I'll just hang around here 'til I'm unconscious. Plan!

They're Maryland ones, but I'm trying to imagine they're Millies. Sadly they're far too small for that.

I'm also starting to suspect we might find this entire thread gets removed for being nothing more than a chat. "Take it to PM" is the usual mod mantra...

I do the same as Munki Bhoy, also for a small company and I enjoy it. The tech support bit is often the most monotonous, but also often the most fun - because people can be stupid. Not to mention the fact that your "customers" are actually your colleagues, so you can rip the piss out of them and they'll give as good as they get - you don't have to be nicey nice.

Hmm you see I continually get it wrong, I think there is something really cool about your Dad sat next too your Mum driving along with Dad trying to flash the lights in time to the music with Mum saying stop it, stop it, that bloke in front in the BMW is going to get arsey in a minute, with the kids in the back hooting with laughter. It is made even more worth while when someone smiles at you, as they know what you are doing and they didn't have the nerve to do it themselves.

I like Gregg, he is very good, I like Scott too.

Actually, my other question was going to be that does anyone (apart from the guy on the phone) actually play along? I didn't think so, but clearly I was wrong.

I like greg's story, that he's worked his way up straight out of uni. He's a lot better than some of the fill ins. Early morning will do him good for a few more years.

I have a placement at BBC 3 Counties Radio next month...anyone know anything about likliness of getting a job out of it?

Straight from Uni to a prime slot at Radio 1 with no slogging or grinding in between doesn't sound like working his way up to me. Sounds like falling on your feet. He's the best of the rest though I think, whoever spotted him probably got it right.

greg and scott are really good. Not in the same class as moyles. But extreamly good.
I feel that when chris gets sacked or hangs up the mic. Scott will take on the breakfast slot and greg will move too afternoons.

Greg seems to be on all the time, he can't get enough. Although it does seem like he enjoys it so what the hell? But he is better than a lot of the trash on the Radio 1 airwaves.

He is. Still can't stand Scott Mills though - and I don't believe he will ever get the Breakfast slot. By the time it becomes available they will want someone a bit newer and fresher than Mills. Maybe Greg James - more likely some wacky children's TV presenter though.

I really don't think it will happen. He is too closely identified with the drive slot, and he's been doing it too long now. No, when Moyles moves on it will be for someone a lot newer and hopefully more interesting than Mills. Or Colin Murray - that would be good.

I find sales guys tend to be a) the ones with the most problems, and b) the ones you can have the best banter with. Although that might be because I work for a software development company and most of the other guys are developers and at least know their way around a computer.

I hate sales people with a passion. You have to sell your soul (and I mean that figuratively, obviously) to get that job.

They're all evil, I know that. I've been on the wrong end of their "this guy's an expert in xxx" when I've only just read chapter one the night before often enough. But any I've known also have a wicked sense of humour. I think it actually has a lot to do with the fact that they need it to keep you sweet for the next time they screw you over.
