When I want to download a file, I click on the "download" icon and a blue "q" comes up and the file plays on my PC, but doesn't save, the http show the soundvault thing and the MP3 file location but I can't save that on my C drive.

Could anyone please tell me what to do in language I can understand please.

Right click on the big "Download" button then click "Save Target As..." And you can save it that way.

There are settings in most browsers to adjust it so it does it automaticaly but I'm buggered If I know where they are.

If you're using Firefox (which I believe Boboff is, though I'm on version 3, not sure if Boboff is), you can go to Tools -> Options -> search for 'mp3' and set anything that comes up to 'Save file'.

Ok clever people in web land. I have a problem.

I downloaded some pictures from the camera and clicked to delete off the camera when downloaded. I then set about tidy up other pictures and after about 6 actions I selected a load and moved them into the folder with the pictures I had just downloaded, it came up one of the files was duplicated do you want to over-right all or this one or none, and like a tit I said all. I then check and all my new photos are gone. I panic, check recycle bin, not their, then do undo actions but it stops one short. Can I get them back at all?

Thank you in anticipation for your help, the pictures were for my sons school project, and the reason there were so many of the same name was I over wrote them with my daugheters pictures from the previous weekend! I feel such a fmooing tit.

Unless you have a backup taken of some sort, I think you're pretty much foo-barred unfortunately mate.

Thats what I thought.

Funny thing was I mentioned it in the Pub at the weekend and I had some of the best advice EVER!

My mate (she) said, if you go into your control panel and change the time to before you made the mistake you will be able to get them back!!!!!!! When I laughed in a rather smug and condescending way I think it pissed her off a bit!

Funny.

Do you not know about the temporal field manipulator tool in Windows? Make a mistake and then just reset time itself. Dead easy.

Sorry about the pics. It's for that reason I always click rename even though it means I have many duplicates.

It's probably reasonable to assume in most cases that if the two files have the exact same name, size and modified date and time, then they are one and the same. Otherwise, rename is the better option.
