Nooo, that's brilliant! Topher, you clearly don't understand the concept of enjoying Christmas songs. The normal rules just don't apply.

It was only good for the video though. I happen to like Walk This Sleigh an obscure B side b Robbie Williams.

Contains the line "Happy Birthday Jesus Christ. Here's some Spice Girls merchandise."

Sorry for the double post but also deserving of a mention:

Run DMC - Christamas In Hollis

And I can't remember who sings it but i've got it somewhere, some Australian guy who sing's "Hey Santa Claus You *! Where's me * Bike!"

Oh also When a Child is Born by Johnny Mathis, and Mary's Boy Child by Boney M.

I totally agree, I hate E17 and in particular Brian Harvey, but this was a great xmas tune, 1995 I think off the top of my head. Can't be arsed to Google. It's all about the tubular bells at the end! Other than that it has to be Fairytale of New York.

There is another thread for Moyles parodies. This one is about Christmas records.

I understand that, but I still think if it's clearly bilge then it's a shit Christmas song.

Fair point about Stanta...I would say however Alone on Christmas Day stands up on its own merits musically (basically a Travis song with Chris and Dave) certainly would rather hear that than Slade or Wizzard ad nauseum.

Anything is better than Cliff Richard in my books when it comes to Christmas tunage.

Well there's no need to be so rude about it.

That's possibly the first post of yours that's ever made me smile.

I'm a littel undecided on the Weird Al offereing of Christmas at Ground Zero....

"It's Christmas at Ground Zero, There's panic in the crowd. We can dodge debris while we trim the tree....."

hmmm.

A lot of these aren't Christmas songs, they're anti-Christmas songs. Funny as anything, but really not Christmas songs.
