Tedious Link today was 'Novocain for the soul' by Eels - what a fantastic track, and I'd completely forgotten about it! May have to be an itunes purchase later. May buy 'Birdhouse in your Soul' by They might be giants while I'm at it...
What other songs are fantastic but forgotten? Inspire me...

Birdhouse in Your Soul is on my MP3 player, I listen to it quite a lot - love it. My friend is a massive They Might Be Giants fan and gave me loads of albums on an MP3 CD, but I've not got round to listening to them yet.

Ugly Kid Joe - Cat's in the Cradle
Mike + the Mechanics - The Living Years
Human League - Together in Electric Dreams
ELO - The Way Life's Meant to Be
Slade - * On Feel the Noize

I dunno. I've forgotten it.

Although I did hear The Cardigans - My Favourite Game the other day. Great driving song I imagine.

Meh, never liked it when it was released, still don't like it now. I've never been a fan of that kind of American Rock Music. Nickleback are exactly the bloody same.

Nickelback seem to be trying (badly) to be Deep Purple.

I have to agree with Zoot - I grew up on Deep Purple, I can't see anything about Nickleback which is a parallel.

Fair enough.. I just think they seem to be trying to sound like them but not very successfully.

DJ Luck and MC Neat - I'm sorry / A little bit of luck
Big Ang Feat Siobhan - Its over now

Music is like wine, any old wine can become a 'classic'.
Only trouble is, judging by her song list, Cat buys her wine with a 'Tesco Value' label on it

Maybe not... but you do like shitty songs.

catherine wrote:They are old but you lot are also old.

I don't consider anything post 1995 to be old - although Zoot is right in that that doesn't mean songs that aren't particularly old can't be classics - and quite a lot of people would go further back than me.

Erm 1995...I was 5! Those songs are classics to me because firstly they got me into dance, garage, speed garage music and also because I grew up with them. Some people might have grown up with Buddy Holly playing in the background and I grew up with those songs and others.

Hmm a few I've since re-discovered whilst listening back to classic Moyles shows:

N'N'G feat Kallaghan - Right Before My Eyes
Outkast - B.O.B.
Sash - Just Around The Hill
Ludacris - Area Codes

Not classics by any means but a nice Nostalgic trip & several "I remember those" moments when listening back to them :D

I wish they'd be more like Lynyrd Skynyrd....except without the survivors.
