The word Footlish wasn't a cultural reference. It refers to a state of being - you can be footlish or not. Personally, I'm not - which is a good thing.

Oh and of course the only song to have been Xmas No. 1 twice: Bohemian Rhapsody.

Band Aid has also been three times, with three different versions. The Stock, Aitken & Waterman version was possibly worse than 20.

I have to admit, I miss the old days of Novelty v Crap for the Christmas number one. Now it's just another bore.
