One that allows me to record tape recordings, save them as MP3's & be able to edit them.

However I think Chris has sourced a useful alternative for me, I shall check in a day or so (I'm not copying or editing any tonight, just popped in to see if anyone had any suggestions for alternative software ).

I shall be digging out some Mini Discs as well so as to finally get some Lizzie on audio, seems alot of the tape ones I've picked, so far, don't feature her that heavily. :(

I've just realised I've got the last Saturday show, unfortunately on tape not Mini Disc (I started recording on Mini Discs the week after, if only I had started the week before) but I have the whole thing, only three brief moments missing where the tape needs flipping over.

I actually have around 5-8 Saturday shows although with the exception of the last show it was only ever the first half as I did a Saturday job back then & had to leave for work before side B finished (with the exception of the last show of course).

Recorded about 14 now, I have edited two so far & hope to edit more over the next week, I have to re-record a few unfortunately but hopefully I'll have about 20-30 done by Christmas :D

I plan to copy one of those tomorrow (either a half one or the last one) & then this weekend edit them like mad so that I can hopefully get around 20 of them online. :D

Thanks for that Chris, hopefully others will enjoy them :D

I hope to have several more edited & ready by this weekend, the current one I'm copying, which I forgot I had is Melinda's last ever live appearance on the show, Thursday 21st December 2000 :D

I have however discovered a few are "missing from my Archives" two in particular that I'm after in particular are the Easter specials (Friday 13th April 2000 & Monday 16th April 2000) of which on one of them they get "famous people" to phone in, basically it just members of the public phoning up, with one person claiming to be Stephen Hawking & a bloke phoning up claiming to Jennifer Lopez who had been smacked by her mother for showing too much t*tty  It was funnier that it reads, unfortunately extensive searching at present hasn't turned up these tapes, I have 6 missing at the mo, one a Saturday show as well, which I don't have many of unfortunately.

I'm working on editing them right now. Hopefully will send them to Chris this evening :D

Chris, incase you read this thread before checking your emails please could you discard the Friday 26th March 1999 file, seems I've screwed up on the editing on one of the links, I'm working on it right now & will get it over to you later this evening.

Apologies

Cool :D well I hope to edit the Capital FM Show & a 2001 full show. AT present I'm recording Saturday 11th November 2000, only the first half for that one unfortunately.

Right well I've managed to copy over the first half of a Saturday show, oddly enough (and not intentionally) I chose Saturday 11th November 2000 8O

Have to say I forgot how odd the Saturday shows were, they never really had pre-recorded jingles for the Saturday show did they, they seem to use the same jingles that were used in the weekday in early 2000 & the latter 2000 shows use the same bed music but no soundbytes at the beginning. Girls Going To Football is on the tapes & a bit with them slating builders whilst talking over the Bob The Builder song.

Rachel is on the phones & producer Richard doesn't speak so it's just really Chris & Dave throughout the rest of it.

I hope to have this edited & forwarded onto Chris by the end of the week, along with several other shows.

I really did forget how different the Saturday shows were, just a shame I only ever got one in full, which was on two tapes as well which means you end up with at least three cut-off points, may give this one a go one day this week :D

Mate - I don't care, any Saturday show is good.

Does it have Girls Going to Football? And Who's in the Doghouse?

No "Who's In The Dog House" but there is "Girls Going To Football". One thing I noticed, listening back is that the CD's don't half skip from time to time, Chris claims he's sober but I imagine he wasn't as he'd normally make a point of it

I hope I have got an edition of "Who's In The Dog House" but I'm sure I used to recall listening to it whilst at work, so may have not done, unless it was on the last show. Although they may have done it early on one of them.

I'll find out in time I suppose

One of my favourite bits so far is on the Thursday 21st December 2000 show where they play Melinda's farcial game "You Owe Me Pal" where the team have to get random questions right or they owe Melinda a quid, Chris thinks it's ok at first but need sto be sped up until he realises he actually has to pay Melinda and dismisses it as rubbish

I loved those two features.

You have to be a proper fan... but not a man. My mum tried to get on that once when we went to a match together - she got through but they never rang back.

Yeah I liked Girls Going To Football as well, complete with ITV's "World Of Sport" music :D

Right, I have copied edited & sent another show to Chris for his approval*. The show dates from Monday 14th February 2000 & is a "Valentine's Special" where basically Chris & the Team slag off the "event" as been there for Clinton's Cards (and other card shops) to make money. This show is virtually complete as it was the only one I recorded on a TDK D120. One link is missing which is the link at the end of the news, unfortunately I didn't change the tape over & as a result the link gets cut rather badly, not only that the sound is in a poor state at this point. You're not missing much anyway, just Rhys saying how great Leeds were & that they're not that rough players.

Melinda is off (again) although I'm not sure if it's because he's ill or on holiday (Chris & Dave seem to take holiday at the same time but Rhys & Melinda seem to take theirs at different times to Chris & Dave at this point). Viaduct is on there, of course & plenty of calls on air. Also, and I know for certain this is the only one I have, Chris playing a remind of yesterday's "Six at Six" (remember that?). I have also left on one song in full, it's DJ Luck & MC Neat's "With a little bit of luck" for the simple reason that Chris plays Hanna Barbera & Homer Simpson sound effects over virtually the entire song with the excpetion of 15-30 seconds, which I didn't see much point of cutting out, unless it's decided otherwise, of course :)

Hope you enjoy it once it's up & also I hope to get about 8-10 more edited over the course of this weekend :D

*When I say approval, what I mean is that I didn't realise that I recorded the first half lower than the second half so I have sent this to Chris to see if he needs me to re-record it again before it gets uploaded

Speaking of Valentine's and all things romantic, anyone remember that date he went on with the page three girl? I think she was a page three girl; she was a model of some sort anyway. I can't remember her name though...
