This man went into curry's and went up to an assistant and asked

"Could someone help me buy some kitchen appliances"

The assistant replies

"Kenwood"

"Great" says the man, "can you go get him"

hahahah

This Cowboy walks into a German Car show room and says "Howdee", the assistant says "No BMW"

Ah it's the way I tell um.

Two Spanish fire firghters, Hose and Hose B.

I'll get my coat.

Chris said HE. I still think it's you. Or it was Colonel Mustard in the drawing room with the candlestick.

I acted as a 'reference' for a couple that were applying to be foster parents and they get a £375 a week retainer and that goes up to £750 if they actually look after a kid.

I know it is a very late reply to yudster's post that was on page 1, but I thought is worth knowing?

Hmmm. Well, there are private agencies out there running fostering schemes on behalf of the social services, but the local authority I work for and all of the authorities I have dealt with over the last 6 years or so would boggle at such figures. But as I said, I can't speak for other agencies or authorities, only the ones I'm involved with.

From what my friends told me it costs £6,000 per child per month to be housed in authority housing (which they both used to work for), so to pay £3,000 to have them fostered 1 on 1 makes sense I guess.

I'm not saying it isn't great - I just wish we were in a position to be able to offer those kind of amounts!
