I have recently got into answering questions on yahoo answers. But I am wondering do you get any special offers/rewards for answering hundreds of questions? Also how accurate is the responses folks give, I know there are loads of filler answers but the answers which are more realistic how true are they? Also would you go to yahoo answers if you had a question over say google or ask? Are there any other sites similar which are better than yahoo answers?

answerbank.com is quite good too...on the occasion I've googled something and one of the hits has been yahoo answers, the answers given always seem to be, well, kinda rubbish.

For techy questions, although it gets panned, Experts Exchange is not too bad (no I haven't paid for a subscription... click the 'cached' link on your Google results and scroll to near the bottom.)

Hehe, I've never quite figured out why but scrolling down always works for me even when I don't click cached!

I think it sometimes works for the first question you ask within a certain time period (probably 24 hours or something). They must set a cookie to expire and when it does, you're allowed to have a 'sample' question again. It's not something that expires with your browser session anyway, I've checked that.

yahoo answers is full of spam, and is no better than the previous 'experts' fiasco..

for real answers to real problems (mainly money realted, but other stuff also discussed), try the forum on www.moneysavingexpert.com
(the site for channel5 's 'it pays to watch' consumer show)

heck- CM talks about x-factor which is on another channel, so why cant we big up some other show?

Yahoo Answers is good for random stuff i found, anything that isn't commonly known. I usually find most answers to questions on there quite helpful, once you've got through the rubbish some people write, but a tip don't only read the users 'favourite answer' because 9 times out of 10 there is a better one lower down :D
