After doing a little research I have found the links to the new Chris Moyles Listen Again links for those who like to download the show and convert them to mp3 for either clipping or putting on their generic mp3 player.

This tutorial will be based on the tutorial by 'DC':

Firstly you need to download a downloader called Flashget, this is free. Once that's downloaded you can start download Chris Moyles.

After that, download this tool to convert them to mp3:

Follow these steps and you will be on your way to having a whole Chris Moyles show on your mp3 player.

EDIT:
Updated thread to reflect new iPlayer link changes.

Sorry for double post.

Just to confirm, this does work. It took me about an hour and a half to download the show through Flashget, and 20 mins in Switch. It's in iTunes now, and syncing to my iPod. Thanks a lot coomdoom, as I always miss the show from 8am! 8)

I used to use the software Net Transport which worked really well but it wasnt free and only a trial.

It seems to download the shows really fast and quickly.

I now use FlashGet which works great but likely someone has said it takes its time to download.

you can either convert it to MP3 or download Real Player, the files will play perfect on that.

You need to use the daily links I provided in the opening post. If you have flashget open and right click the link and click Copy Link Location (or something to that effect), flashget should pop up asking you where to save it and will then download the .ra file.

hey madhorse52, you can set a schedule/event within FLASHGET to download these files daily...so you can have it all automated. You can set them to download into a particular directory etc etc....

Managed to download todays show :D Thought I'd download it seeing as they had a rare occurance of a "temporary member" of the team (This time Anna filling in for Dominic).

However I don't know if I've done something wrong, every 3-5 minutes the sound will skip like a CD, now I don't know if this is because I've done it as a set bit rate (80 kpbs) or not?

Can anyone advise please?

Thanks in Advance :D

Each show is on 'Listen Again' for one week, from the the end of the show. So when tomorrows show finishes tomorrow, if will be on the Monday link from about 10:15am until about 10:15am next Monday. Tuesday's show will, likewise, be on for an entire week starting from about 10:15 on Tuesday until about 10:15 the following Tuesday.

I'm having a few problems, can anyone help.

Firstly when i've downloaded a show, i try to open it up in Switch, but need to change the files it is showing from Audio Files to All Files. Then i convert it to mp3, but the size of the file goes from about 100,000kb to 1kb and it won't open in iTunes, am I doing something wrong.

Secondly is there a way to increase the speed of the download, at present it averages around 40kb/s and I was wondering if that could be notched up a bit.

All help is welcomed.

Sorry to bump this thread back up, but I'm currently using Flash Get (for the second time, after the trouble last time I put off using it again) but the NCH link above in the first post, I downloaded ages ago & the "Trial period" has run out on the software.

Does anyone know if there is any other free software (Audacity, etc.) that can convert the downloads to MP3 at all please? :D

Streambox VCR 1.0 Beta 3.1 is the way to go. (Google it for a link)

All you have to do is paste the link in to download it. Plus this particular piece of software has a speed up function which you can download Real Media file far faster than some other programmes. For example, it only takes me 4 minutes to download a Moyles show each day :D :D

Ah, but does it stop that horrible speed stutter stumble, which flash get does?

Ah excellent, I shall give that a go later.

BTW, have you had a chance to getting round to uploading any more superb Mark & Lard shows of yesteryear at all? :)

Sat and today are up
