Well I thought we should probably have an X-Factor thread. Now the live shows have started what do you think so far? I've been dragged into watching it by my kids and I've never watched it before.

So.........

Best Mentor?

Best act?

Who are you supporting?

Who's going to win?

(I am assuming that the best act may not win and you may not be supporting the best act because they are the best but because they're the cutest/hottest/local etc etc)

Are you her (voldemort) in disguise?
Are you her in disguise?

Are you her?
Are you her?

Are you her in disguise?
Are you her in disguise?

repeat until crowd get bored or something happens.

Don't care about X factor although I wouldn't trun down a nice 3 way with Cheryl and Danni.

What is to "trun" is this anew sexual position I have never heard of! Maybe I am Voldemort. Now that would scare you.

I thought I'd start it as it's already been mentioned in a couple of threads so SOME people might be interested.

I quite like Cheryl actually. Probably comes from her own experience, so that's just going to work well. I like what she did with that Diana girl last night.

Actually, she surprised me. She obviously had a good voice, but I wasn't sure if she had the power to go with it. Then she blasted out With Or Without You last night and I'm backing her. She might not win, but she's definitely my favourite.

The voting was a tad predictable last night. It's mainly teenage girls that vote on these things, so despite being average at best the nice daddy got through while the two girl groups were in the bottom two.

One thing on that - I like the new twist of making them sing a different song to try and stay in the competition... but it doesn't mean a thing if the judges vote the way they did last night. The public don't get to see that second song so can't vote on it. Personally, I thought Bad Lashes were much better on their second song than Girl Band were.

Nice to see Simon admit he was wrong. Pity Dannii couldn't do it on the very next song though. Some people just can't admit their wrong.

Whoever the producers like.

I watched it one year; it was the biggest waste of my time I've ever spent.

Wouldn't that be unfeasibly risky given the recent backlash in the news?

They don't need to rig the public vote, don't forget that Simon Cowell is the Producer of the show. He has ultimate say on what contestants sing, what they wear and most importantly, every week he can see the result of the public vote so he can see just exactly how popular each of the acts are. If the one he wants to win isn't as popular he can just make the one who is more popular than his favourite look and sound crap. No to mention telling the judges what to say and worst case scenario his chosen one ends up in the bottom two the judges vote to keep that one in.

It's pretty easy actually, you don't need to rig the phone vote when you control the public perception.

None of the views expressed are my own nor are they the views of Chrismoyles.net or anyone associated with it's operation. They are in fact, all the property of Foot-Loose so if anyone from Simon Cowell's multination organisation wants to sue somebody then sue him!

I don't see how it's risky for me to say it on an interweb message board and anyway, it's my opinion.

I like Diana, trouble is the last quirky lovely on these shows turned out to be a rug muncher, so I am not holding out on that one.

She is lovely though. At 38 though I do feel a bit of a Gary Glitter writing that !

I haven't watched it for the past 2yrs so I thought I'd dip back into it this time, and yeah, it's still as terrible as ever. I think Laura is in with a good chance, altho I did think that the dress they put her in was a lil' too tight on saturday. Ruth's boobs were great tho, it'll be interesting to see if they hoist 'em up like that every week, give her a better chance of staying in the competition a bit longer.

I meant that it would be risky for the show to do it - not for you to bring it up.

He'll just be glad you can't text names to win any more. Most of the UK couldn't spell Eoghan.

Surely with any name or word that isn't spelled exactly as its written, no one could spell it unless they had seen it written down first, or been told?
