Its the best that Wetherspoons can offer. My preferred lager is Staropramen. First choice everytime but seeing as the great Wetherspoons does not serve it, Corrs Light is the next preference (especially over Fosters, Carling and Stella).

Fosters is shite, but Carling is my weak lager of choice and Stella is my preference for strongish lager (in the absence of Red Stripe, as few places have that.)

It's better than all the other weak lagers.

Carling is alright. I drink it if I'm driving.

Well, whatever you say. I disagree.. I am perfectly capable of driving on one pint. No more than that though.

I bet the drink driver won't have had one pint of weak lager.

I disagree DD, if that was the case the law would be amended so that no units of alcohol are to be consumed.

Toph, i agree that Carling is the best drink if driving, however, i was driving sat night and ended up drink Carling C2. actually tastes no different either

The law should be amended, your ability will be impaired no matter how much you drink. it maybe impaired less, but it still changes your reaction times and 1pint is still more than the legal limit

In my opinion I would basically be as likely to crash (into anyone or anything) after one pint as I would after no pints. The difference is negligible. If it wasn't, the law would have been changed long ago.

No it's not.

Depends what you have a pint of. Pint of Vodka then yes, but a pint of 4.1% Carling (or even 2% Carling CW) is not over the limit.
