I'm not sure what the issues are regarding listening on-line when abroad. Most of the Iplayer video stuff is UK-only so I'd imagine it's the same for the radio section?

The radio part still works but I think since BBC America runs a lot of the BBC programs over here just months later it wont let you watch the videos. But for some reason the radio parts still work. Radio 1 does at least. Haven't tried the others.

I would imagine that because you need a license in the UK to watch BBC TV programmes, they won't let you watch them abroad, whereas you don't need a license to listen to the radio. I could, of course, be talking out of my arse there.

This is found in the iPlayer FAQ:

"Can I use BBC iPlayer outside the UK?

Rights agreements mean that BBC iPlayer television programmes are only available to users to download or stream (Click to Play) in the UK. However, BBC Worldwide is working on an international version, which we will make available as soon as possible."

Sounds like good news to me.

The Realplayer streams are remaining, and if you visit the Iplayer radio outside the UK it should point you to the real streams. If not, these still work:

Monday: rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/moyles_mon.ra
Tuesday: rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/moyles_tue.ra
Wednesday: rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/moyles_wed.ra
Thursday: rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/moyles_thu.ra
Friday: rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/moyles_fri.ra

Awesome! Now I won't have to find new ways to watch Top Gear every week.
