I give up! I watch it cos my kids do! Their enthusiasm is catching. Bruvva, however, frequents sites etc that make him a geek!

Oh and Foots, it's been a long time since I was shafted!

This is a pretty good description of how it makes me feel too. I can't wait for tomorrow night.

I'm the same, but then I have a thing for Billie Piper so that makes me doubly... giddy. Even with her weird voice last week. 8O

Oh my good god! How did no-one know about that? I was just getting used to David Tennant as well. What a cool episode. And why is Sarah Jane Smith married to a computer?

To quote the Doctor himself of late...

What? What?! WHAT?!!!

David Tennant's down to do the specials next year! Something funny going on here...

They're not married, it's just named Mr Smith. It's also technically an alien - a Zylocke, some sort of crystaline alien.

S4B wrote:Could none of the geeks have warned us about this!?

There could be a very good reason why none of the 'geeks' have warned you about it.

You can't help but get caught up in it all, especially after that episode but I don't obsess about it.

Well it's not for me you understand, it's for my kids who are currently sobbing uncontrollably. Anything you can tell me to set their little minds at rest would be so wonderful.

My immediate suspicion is that because they're out of sync with the rest of the universe by that one second, the regeneration will be different from normal. It won't actually change the doctor. Either that or the TARDIS is just refuelling him, it's good that way.

Or, we'll get a new doctor. He's not one for staying dead. And a new doctor isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I quite liked Christopher Eccleston. I was disappointed when he decided to leave. Then we got David Tennant, who has been brilliant! So the disappointment kinda filtered away in the end.

A possibility, but not what I'd have gone with.

Munki Bhoy wrote:Either that or the TARDIS is just refuelling him, it's good that way.

He's regenerated several times in the TARDIS before, I doubt that it's refuelling him.

I'm heartless enough to let them use this as a life experience.

Just did, and no it hasn't. The only thing I found was Bruvva claiming regeneration at the end of the series and that the specials were a hoax. Bruvva them retracted that later on, pointing out that David Tennant was filming the Christmas special. Which brings us back round to the conclusion that this is no normal regeneration and it will still be David Tennant at the end of it.

That is the reason, the regeneration is meaningless, or at least will be rendered meaningless, as we know that Tennant will be in the Christmas special and numerous specials next year.

Still means we'll spend the next week wondering what's going on. I hate cliffhangers. And love them at the same time.

Yes, it is a particularly clever plot device, almost guaranteeing high audience figures on the next episode.
