I found it fascinating, however, to read that she wouldn't like the basically furnished offices belonging to Alan S. She must have known this was the way things were prior to entering the competition.

Alan Buggar should hire Claire, she's probably my favourite, has learnt that being a bitch isn't everything, and has shown who she really is, just a nice lass underneath her sales talent. Besides from Lee I can't remember the other two's names. I'm on the website now. I really hope that 'Alex' doesn't win, purely because he wants it too much, and therefore if he lost, that would be brilliant, hes managed to wriggle out of the boardroom each time his losing team ended up in there.

'Helene' - She just seems to have been "there" the whole way through, part of the furniture. I don't know much about business, but seeing as this is telly, I think Claire would definitely liven up his "bland" organisation (according to Lucinda). Like many I would also be happy to see Lee win, providing he rebounds his own catchphrase back at Alan at the moment he is hired.

I haven't watched it at all as I have no interest in it, but I heard Lee and Claire on the show this morning and thought they were really good - Claire especially.

You're kidding, right? If he's going to lie about that, what else will he do in the future? I found Claire more straightforward. Hopefully, she will be employed by Alan S. anyway, as this quite often happens.

As much as I didn't watch the programme, I'd like to know why you think lying on your CV is acceptable? I know plenty of people do it, but companies usually put clauses in your contract to state that if you're found to have lied they can terminate your employment.

Choosing words that make what you did sound that bit more impressive is fine, writing a good CV is an artform in itself; outright lying, though, is not right in my opinion. That said, if they found him out and still deemed him worthy of employment, that's up to them.

I wasn't condoning lying on one's CV, but the fact is that the job Sir Alan was offering, did not require him to have had a formal education. Hence it didn't matter. If the job had required a formal degree it would have been questionable as to Lee's employability. And as you say, they found him out and still employed him. I think even one of Sir Alan's right hand men lied on his first CV.

I wouldn't promote lying on a CV, but it's not really a big deal considering he has been through 12 weeks of tasks - clearly Alan Sugar picked him because of what he's seen, rather than caring about what his CV said - which wouldn't happen in the real world.

I know, that's what I meant - I don't think it would've been a good idea to disqualify Lee for the job though, as it wasn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things no matter what your stance on it is. Plus, Alan Sugar admitted to doing it himself in the past - I know he has double standards but firing him for that would be a bit too much!

But the recruitment sales manager's victory was marred by the revelation that he had lied on his CV, pretending to have spent two years at university when he only stayed there four months.
