I dont go out of my way to offend people but will more than happily crack a joke at someone elses expense as I know most poeple would do the same to me

e.g. yesterday at work I got told by one of my colleagues that someone had been off with a problem with a certain pert of a males anatomy but was a bit embarrased and didnt want to tell his manager why he had been off, to which I replied "well I guess it probably a sore point"

But also yesterday I accidentily forwarded on a private email from my girlfriend to my whole team at work

Sure. I'll either try clipping the whole thing (to remove the songs and hopefully halve the filesize), or just clip the first half-an-hour or so off and upload that here.

Hello. What you have failed to notice and / or mention is that I have been around here since 2002, which (in my opinion) is ample time to clock up such a post count. You will also note that others have a reasonably similar post count, having been here a much smaller amount of time. My post count means bugger all to me, you appear to be the one who is mentioning it.

What I find most ridiculous is that feel you have to pick up on a newbie's spelling or grammar or sentence structure but fail to look at the idea of either talking about the thread topic (live video of the Chris Moyles show for the first time ever FFS), or my offer of spending 3 and a half hours recording the stream and sharing it for others who may have missed it or who are overseas and can't ever see it.

That is indeed a generous offer. Threads, however, rarely stay on topic round here. You'll get used to it.

I don't want you to fawn, but I tell you what, it's going to put people off when you spend a good proportion of your 10,000+ posts picking holes, whining or taking the piss.

It's called having a banter, it's why a lot of people come here. Why should the nature of the place change because a few visitors don't like it when there are plenty of other places they could go to get their fix of nicey-nicey forums.

Give that a few goes and maybe n00bs will stay around.
But maybe don't actually want that, you'd rather keep the forum closed off to newbies?

It seems like every post that talks about the show eventually gets diverted in to some personal or irrelevant topic or is filled with your own in-jokes. Fine in the off-topic forum, but can you leave it there?

Again, you will see that threads rarely stay on-topic, whichever forum they're in. Such is life.

It does seem like an unnatural restriction to put on a discussion, this idea that it isn't allowed to go anywhere other than down a very narrow pre-defined pathway. A lot of forums are really strict about that kind of stuff though, maybe neilt0 is used to sites which are more heavily moderated.

Jesus, some people need to lighten up. At the end of the day, we're here because we like the Moyles Man and if having a giggle and putting up with some witty banter comes along with it then so be it. I love it here.

if you would rather be on a forum where people are sickly nice and false all the time, UnofficialMills is the place for you... if, on the other hand, you would prefer people to be up front, have a banter and generally take the piss out of each other (as is Moyles' own way of doing things, for *'s sake), then welcome aboard.

I personally think if you're going to get involved in a comunity you should try to learn a bit about it's workings before you start trying to add to it....saves a lot of hassle that way...the people who last here are the one's who "get" it. Just like Chris.
