It's The Awesome! I'm loving the Moyles TV.

Anyone know how to rip the FLV so we can save for later?

I think the best bits video is a great idea, giving the slightly nosy people like myself a chance to see how it's put together.

Getting the FLV is a bit tricky, but here's a screen grab of that random bit with who I think are The Feeling. Strange.

Live!

They must be planning a live feed of the whole thing, which would be great.

I think they used to have a multicast video feed at one point, but only worked with specific ISPs and was a pain to get to work with your router.

Ah, I knew I should've come here first. I just watched the best bits video and had to rewind 3 times before I could pause it to see what that blip at 8.11 was.

Ah, you're one of those people that it's fun to wind up by taking a screenshot of their desktop, setting it as their desktop background, hiding all their icons and taskbar and then watching them think their PC has frozen up.

http://www.flvsoft.com/flv_player/ can play it back. Nice.

Have you actually got this to work on iPlayer stuff?

I don't think you need to as iPlayer downloads are crackable anyway. "Moyles Best Bits" doesn't seem to be on iPlayer, so this is the only method to save the videos AFAIK.

While the 'Moyles Best Bits' aren't directly on the iPlayer, it is using the exact same technology that is behind the Flash version of the iPlayer. Also, the part of the iPlayer that was 'cracked' is the iPhone version (the iPhone doesn't have flash or the ability to play DRM'ed media, so a hole was opened that people (*cough*) exploited), so that method won't help in this case. The only thing that will download the stream is an 'rtmp downloader', the only ones I know of run on Windows, so I don't know which ones will work.
