Don't ruin my moment of happiness!

If i were to do that, i might insinuate that the Stevenage branch of Waterstones ruined Ottakars ;)

You know you can books a hell of a lot cheaper online, hollie? Definitly not from Waterstones either! I would recommend going into their store and having a look, then buying them off the interweb.

hahaha and now we are making some money! Reading books without paying for them is what people should do in a LIBRARY!

*guesses she'd better stop this rant now*

Im a sucker for special offers and points :P

3p for every £1 you spend! The points not only get you money off books and special deals they also get you the opportunity to meet famous authors, get chances to win and or buy exclusive editions and when you shop with us you benefit from our experience & expertise. Our prices are fairly favourable with the rest of the high street and internet now as well so it's an additional service.

I practically live in my library - dusty old place that it is.
Im a true geek at heart ;)

But i do venture to Waterstones when they dont have the book im after or if i have been told off for renewing a book too often :P

Or, like the other day, if i need to purchase a certain Mr.Men character book, leaving disappointed at not finding it and failing to notice the giant Mr.Men stand by the door.

*Goes out and panic buys all Mr.Bump books incase any more 'in-joke' moments come up in the near future*

Cheers for the heads up.
(Would have thought with the new mr.men tv show on Five they would have enough money - sell outs!*

Meh - I get most of my books from the second hand market neath Waterloo Bridge at the weekends. You can get some proper random stuff there. I bought Homer's The Odyssey this weekend. I loved the version Tony Robinson did for Jackanory so I guess this'll be just like that!

Sod it. I'll just watch Ulysees31 again and pretend I've read it. There's blue aliens and a small red robot (nono) in The Odyssey right?

What Sci-fi film and a spaceship called "The Odyssey" in in?

There are some nice parts to the old town (minus all the take aways).
Im rather partial to an afternoon at the lakes though, Fairlands Valley Park is lovely this time of year - well, save when its raining.

We goto Fairlands for the fireworks, they're very good. Like the Italian in Old Town too, think it's called Prezzo. And what a bonus the pub next door does a Monday night pub quiz!

They have a prezzo at the leisure park as of a few week ago, took over the Exchange place.
Im not a huge prezzo fan though, i think its substantially overpriced considering the quality - Ask is the place to go to if you're after Italian.
Fireworks at the lakes are indeed very good, and very popular. I just wish they would spend that much money on the town rather than 'oohing and ahhhing'.

...you'd be correct, if Milton Keynes is anything to go by.

Welcome along. Stevenage is a venue in the North Herts Table Tennis League. Mrs Topher occasionally plays there, but it's mainly in Hitchin.

You're interested in Table Tennis?

Why didn't you mention this before?
