Tial, if Mark and Lard return to radio1 it will be damaging - I can honestly say I leapt with joy when they annouced they were leaving. I hadn't listened to the R1 1-4 slot in years because of this pair of brim full of asher playing twats. I would rather listen to Edith and Whiley back to back until the end of time than to listen to that atrocity to radio. Listening to M&L was like being stuck in a time warp. The show stayed the same for 10 years. They talked more shit than the River Gangees, just spouted complete tripe all day. In fact, did they ever play any music? Hardly- they liked the sound of their highly annoying voices far too much. I could never understand how they held such a prime slot for such a long time.

You don't like them then?

I do agree it would be a backwards step but I personally thought they were really good. I should probably just download some of their old shows.

Whiley, Cox and Bowman booted out and Mark and Lard returning would be bliss, or failing that just Whiley, Cox and Bowman gone will do just as well not that bothered all annoying, an added bonus would be Mills, he is such and a sad unfunny man, then again I have never listened to him in my life, thank god for the Candyman on BBC London between 3 to 5 when I go home from work, what a legend and ex Radio 1.

I didn't listen to Mark n Lard enough to fully appreciate them, I would rather listen to them. From the few times I've heard them I reckon the handovers were brilliant before Chris's show. But another part of me reckons this is pure nostalgia and they shouldn't return. I bloody hope theres some talent coming through.

Apart from the highly annoying voices bit... what is the difference between Moyles show and your indepth critique of Mark & Lard.

Neither of them are exactly music orientated shows, but very entertaining and above all believeable... You know exactly when they're winding you up or doing a "bit"! You sound like a Scott "Local Radio By Numbers" Mills kinda guy to me.

M&L coming back would be awesome, wouldn't be right though... My student memories of that show being my breakfast shows live on.... Biggedy Biggedy Bong still makes me smile.

If they wanted to bring back an oldie for the 9-1 shift then Mayo would be the man, but they won't and we;ll end up with Annie Mac reminding us she's Irish and friends with Grimmy every 2 mins. I`m just glad i work and can miss it really.

I'm sorry, I didn't realise I'd said they were any different from the moyles team? No 'indepth critique' is needed. Simply put I thought M&L were a shower of shite, forgive me for not going into enough detail for you, your honour.

But surely you're a fan of moyles if you're on said fansite... seemed a odd old world when you'd say that they are no different, but you can't stand one of them.
