Annoying me today is that some stupid internet list named the "Dead Parrot" sketch the funniest comedy sketch ever. It's not. It's not even the funniest Monty Python sketch. People are stupid.

It's not be the funniest Python sketch, but it is one of the most famous, and we unfortunately live in a society where something being famous equates it to be being good, as opposed to something being good leading to it becoming famous. People are stupid.

Whether on the internet or in some tabloid - these lists/polls whatever are just pointless, the way they pander to the populist, fame thing, made by busybodies no doubt. 'Only Fools' is at #1 for best all-time sitcom, Woo! Who gives a frig.

Yea, On the 'greatest ever Childrens TV program', The Simpsons came 1st. I'd hardly call the Simpsons a Childrens TV program.

Which reminds me, That futurama movie came out on DVD on Monday, may have to pick that up. I've heard its very good.

People like to make lists. You don't have to like the lists.

Annoying me today was the 3 hours 45 minutes car journey from Clutton, after which one of my colleagues decided to inform me of their experience that "going to Clutton or Bristol on a Monday or a Friday is a nightmare."

annoying me today is that all the work i have done over the last week was for nothing, because some big boss who doesnt know what he is doing managed to screw up their budget for the year and were only just over a week into the financial year.

this means the work that took me a week now needs to be done in 7.5 hours on monday!

GRRRR!

Mondays are bad enough without that!

Annoying me is the fact that people at work decide today (the day of our new website's soft launch) is the day to complain about stuff. I asked for their input months ago. I asked for their revisions constantly. Stop hating change!

S4B wrote:Make them all read "Who moved my cheese?" Great book.

Our new training manager at work has that, among others.

What annoyed me immensely tonight was the mother of the little girl of about three years of age that I saw running through Milton Keynes shopping centre all on her lonesome. I watched her run about 100 yards and could see no sign of anyone paying attention to her or anyone who vaguely looked like she might be a parent.. but I couldn't go up to her and ask where her mum was because I could have been accused of anything. In the end she sat on a bench outside a shop, I told the woman in the shop, who called security and stood with her. As I was walking off a distraught-looking woman was running in her direction.

Some people have no savvy.

He's got a point though, if he HAD approached her he'd probably have been nicked! The kind of media cultre we live in today means that poor Topher, for all his good intentions would be presumed a suspect while the kind of parents in that "Cotton Wool Kids" on Channel 4 want to protect their kids so much they rarely let them play outside and one even want to microchip her child so she would always know their location despite the fact there is little to no evidence that we live in anymore of a dangerous society than the one we did 20 years ago other than increased media coverage and people's perceptions.

So society is annoying me today.

Society annoys me every day. But while there are people like Topher in it I can't be completely despairing.

I couldn't let her wander off and turn my back, though, my conscience wouldn't have let me. Imagine if something had happened! I'd have hated myself for not doing anything.

Exactly. Your response was about as ideal as it could have been I reckon. Covered all the bases. Like I said, while there are people like you about, all is not lost.
