I went to the flicks last night and was there before the ads were even rolling but the first ad which came on was for the Chris Moyles show. No picture just audio which got folks attention the ad was very funny I will not spoil it for those who have not seen or heard it yet but if you have seen it what did you think?

Q: Do you know who the Amerian sounding Voiceover guy is? the reason why I say sounding was because on certain words the inflection and enunciation sounded british rather than the american twang. But I have a gut feeling it was not Don La Fontaine but I could be wrong, It could have been Paul Turner with a mountain of bass and echo but again somehow I think not.

Either way what do you think of the ad?

I found it funny. Mrs Topher, who makes a point of trying not to find Moyles funny, so she can take the piss out of me for being a fan, also found it funny.

It is a good ad for the show but does anyone have the clip as an mp3/wav file or something? id like it as a ring tone!

I very much doubt it.. you'd have to record it in the cinema... and while that's not impossible, I'm not sure how many people would be willing to risk being banned from the place in order to get a bad recording of the ad.

The Cinema was the Odeon in Newcastle, The Curtains roll back and the lights went dim, No picture just a black screen, with the voices of Chris and "Comedy Dave" trying to plug the show – with the help of the Voice Over Man with the deep voice. Lots of fun, particularly when Voice-Over Man could not pronounced "one" properly. "Radio Wunnnn." Then the usual Pink Radio 1 Ident at the end.

Then a ad for Doctor Who is on, in living colour! I think it is part of a wider strategy for the BBC to diversify into new Media Outlets to gain a wider audience. It was a fantastic twist though to go to the cinema to watch a film and to sit in the cinema and listen to, just audio, like radio and it also gives folks who would not normally listen, a sample of the main man himself.

Hmm.. recorded off a phone, do we think? I've heard it about five times now.. it's funny, but it's getting kinda tiresome (though not as much as the Dr Who ad that's on after.)
