You can have a basement flat with a conservatory, the front entrance is one level and the garden is on the other...in my house if you want to get to the garden you have to go downstairs through my basement!

Or dug a massive hole in the ground to attach it to a basement flat, of course.

Edit: Can it really be classed as a basement flat if it's level with the ground?

I think that sentence should be put in quarantine, otherwise it'll just infect Foot-Loose, amongst others.
