People can only donate what their budget allows, and, at the moment, my budget only allows me that one text. Especially considering that text ended up meaning i couldnt make a very important phone call when i wasnt at home which was urgent.

Your worse than Jo Whiley trying to promote an awful song or tv programme when she's almost literally ordering people to watch or listen to it!

O, btw, I never at any point suggested that people should give beyond their budget! If you read my "Sport Relief Gets A Sugar Coating Thread", you will see that I have said every £1.00 helps. Well done for donating, Wurz.! And I actually only donated £3.00 via the website! MY budget didn't allow me much either, as you will notice..

I can't believe that someone would actually suggest that.
Rational thought is one of our greatest features, I'd say it needs to be used as much as possible in today's world - nothing is ever simple so it would be unfair to simply do the first thing that comes into your head. Of course emotions come into play but everything should be taken into consideration.

Sorry about all the posts.. just noticed this! Rational thought isn't one of my specialities, but yeah, OK, to a point rational thought is cool, but sometimes just utter emotion can work wonders. Chappers' emotional ranting caused someone to donate £10,000, I believe. I rest my case ... and am leaving it at this point.

Haha, this was more aimed at the people who had heard it, but ok.

Chappers was on the Jo Whiley show and they were talking about the amount of money they raised. Chappers said they were thankful to the people who had donated, but they made a lot more money last year because they could give out prizes. Then he went on this big long rant about how the faceless BBC executives won't let them give out prizes, 'n they're screwing over the kids in India who live in waste dumps. It was pretty powerful.

I think it happened about 11:30 or so.
