I knew what you meant Viv
I'm pretty sure though that everyone that visits these pages would like to read posts from Chris - pretty dumb to visit a fan site if you don't want to see posts from the person the site is about...
Chris was putting the site down last week for both the critisicm and the 'fickleness' of (some of) the posters. I completely agree with that view.
Put this into context - Imagine you are at work and suddenly find that a load of strangers, that don't really know everything that goes on (behind the scenes) - they don't fully understand why you do what you do, in the way that you do it - dishing out a load of opinions! You didn't ask for it, you didn't invite it - but they do it anyway. Personally I'd be pretty narked.
Now obviously this site serves a purpose to those that read and post on it - but it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that Chris is 'removed' from it. obviously he reads it, and 'm sure there are posters on here he would be happy to interact with - but if I'm honest, the way this forum sometimes reads, you would think we own the show and have a god given right to demand what content is on it. We are no doubt all familiar that Chris has the view of his show, if you don't like it, turn it off. He's always worked by that motto - so surely people must realise that if he doesn't like something, he won't try and put it right - he'll just 'turn off'!
There are two ways to give negative feedback - criticism and constructive criticism and from what I have read on here (I've been lurking a while) the forum often gives the former rather than the latter.
So overall, whilst I would love to hear from the man himself, I fear he won't post because of the above!
He is of course, welcome to PM me at any stage
