Is it just me that finds it a little amusing that Amy once sang, "they tried to make me go to rehab ... I said, NO, NO, NO..." , only to wind up in it.

I have been around since 2002 though, well over five years. On the other hand (for example), Foot-loose has been around for little over a year and has over half my number of posts.

That's sad, young Catherine.

That amuses me too - but whenever I say that to other people they just look at me funny!

Topher - I can't work out if that means you're flagging behind or foots is just hooked!?

Exactly - I'd actually love to go and see her just to hear her sing that. I think I'd collapse - I'd probably be on my own in finding it funny but it'd be worth it for me!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with an "off-the-wall" sense of humour. Do you laugh in churches/cathedrals too?

Often actually - but oddly not because of the whole religion thing. I just have a rather bad habit at laughing at really inappropriate moments and being ENTIRELY on my own in finding whatever it is funny. Usually things to do with people, often it's something they can't do anything about either. Cruel I know but I do try to keep it to myself - sometimes I just can't keep it in.

With Amy Winehouse however, I have no problem at all!

But surely the reason that pointing out the irony of "Rehab" and Amy Winehouse gets you strange looks is because people can't believe you feel the need to explain such an obvious piece of irony? It's so obvious it wasn't ever funny!

Possibly, but I tend to only find it necessary to point it out to people who can't find fault with her. I only say it to people I know who like her - the people that have thought about it are generally the people with limited sympathy. The funny looks are usually a cross between realisation and anger. If it was looks of "err, and?!" - I wouldn't have repeated it!
