The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Just loved the fact that Peter Jones showed up apparently dressed for a tennis match!! (ready for the celebrity lap), then proceeded to do a strip in the Studio! Totally not the beginning I would have expected from a man who always appears so self-controlled on T.V.!!

Peter spoke about his new show, "American Inventor", which begins tonight at 2100 hours on Virgin 1. I do like Peter in Dragons Den, so I'm sure this will be very good indeed. :-)

As the interview progressed, I found it to be increasingly awkward, with Moyles bizarrely burping like a loon just before "ramble". Peter Jones struck me as being more than a little irritated.

Overall, this was sub-standard this morning. I don't know WHAT was going on behind the scenes, but I swear there was something "not quite right" (from a listener point of view).

Well done Mr Jones for being professional enough to do the Celeb. lap anyway, and to go on to be the new leader!!

Marks out of 10 = 5 (and this is me being "kind").

It is rare for me to criticise Radio one, but when I don't like something (not often), I shall say so...

Peter is always dressed very smartly on the TV.... I reckon he feels much more relaxed being on the Radio cos he can just dress as he likes.

And as you've said, total respect to Peter for really having a go at the Celeb Lap :)

He is exceptionally well turned out on tele. Total eye candy (mmmmm)... It will be interesting to hear what scores he is given from "The Gang" tomorrow, and what they say about him.. I want to know if I'm right with my impressions.

Do you mean in the PJ interview, or the show in general?

I wish I could operate "listen again"... it doesn't work for me :-( I'd like to know how to do it just for the sake of it, but it would annoy me to go back in time (if you understand)... Generally, if I miss a show, it's simply "gone" (in my head - if this makes sense).

Have you got Real Player installed on your computer?

Yes, it seems so... it just says it's playing, yet there's no sound. anyhow, it seems there is a computer place near where Foot-loose lives, where I will be able to go and learn all sorts of stuff. It's called the Wedge (because it looks like the side of a block of cheese). :-)

I'm going to offer one really dumb suggestion (dumb because the chances are so high that you've already checked it) - your speakers are definitely not on "mute" right? You can play music or hear system sounds and so on with no problem? (told you it was dumb)

Wish I had a place like the Wedge near me, sounds cool 8)

Actually, they may be on "mute".. I don't really have time to check today, 'cos I'm trying to up-date my C.V. this morning.. will check as soon as, however.

You're relatively new and haven't posted much. You'll learn in time that things that seem obvious, sometimes aren't to certain people.

I personally think The interview Moyles did last year with Peter Jones & Duncan Bannatyne was great, especially the bit when they go on about Theo Fajitas that part was great, Today though the interview did lack a certain je ne sais quoi, but I don’t think by any stretch it was all that bad however, to hear the lengths Peter Jones went to, to prepare himself for the race was brilliant.

Good day! My name is SpaceBoy :D and I would like £10,000 for 35% of my business, Laps’R’Us, A sporting goods stall outside Radio 1, Selling a wide range of sports wear clothing including footwear and a special selection of “Wonder Grundies” and the “clampoo haircare” range as featured on the show, for celebrities doing the celebrity lap on the Chris Moyles Show! My profits are directly in proportion to the projected number of guests appearing on the show and passing trade with a view to setting up a website to sell online. I will now answer any questions you may have!

I should enter Dragons Den, I may be onto a winner! :D

That's a good idea.. and why don't you go ahead and enter DD .. they have a website. :-)

Incidentally, was there ever any ratings of PJ by the "Gang", or any further mention?

The team rated them on tuesday at 9.45 but, because you asked so nice Vivienne, here are the scores on the doors just for you my dear.

Team Scores
Dave: 7.2
Dominic: 6.7
Carrie: 8.1
Rachel: 7.01
Aled: 7.1
Chris: 7.2

Making the total for Mr Peter Jones = 43.31/60 More than Philip Glenister and less than Mark Ronson.
