Hello. As the question asks, do you think Chris Moyles would be the ideal person to get married?
I think Chris is a media-underestimated legend, and I in no way do I question the mans fidelity.
But I ask you :: Loving 'family' man? Or a lager-loving, one-of-the-lads kinda guy that he will always be? And never the twain shall meet?!
Just asking, not intent on being personal.

If his apparent relationships with his parents and brother are anything to go by, you'd have to say he must be pro-marriage and family and all that. He obviously has a great value for the family unit. Family units come in different shapes and sizes these days though, and he and Sophie have been together for a long time, just because they aren't married, doesn't mean they mightn't be as committed as any married couple - possibly more so than many. As for kids, well, they're both young and Sophie has a career to think about, these things take some planning, give them a chance! I don't believe the "lager-lout" image for a minute, maybe he used to be a bit of a "lad", but these days? I'm unconvinced.

I don't really think he is the "marrying kind".. I believe he will probably marry in order to keep his partner happy, but there is too much of the "womaniser" in Moyles, and I, for one, would reject a type like this. I'm sure he'll provide well enough, etc., etc., but a little too much flirtation.

Yes, the tabloids have been full of his womanising exploits for years, haven't they! Honestly, what a baseless thing to say!

I think you're confusing his on-air persona (and one he used to play up to a lot more than now) with his real personality.

That's a rather old-fashioned viewpoint, in my opinion.

The point of marriage, I believe, is love. Nookie is available any time.

I think you're confusing marriage with sex.

According to the Bible the point of marriage is procreation.

In fact sex outside of marriage is considered by many to be a mortal sin.

You're getting into dodgy ground there.. that may be your opinion, which is no doubt shared by many. The opposite opinion is also shared by many.

It's a tad more complex than that.

The point of marriage is to create union between two people, to create a legal relationship.

I can't actually remember the bible saying that the point of marriage is procreation. I remember something about 'becoming one flesh', but that just implies a coupling, an intimacy - it doesn't have to mean procreation.

Is that why all of them cavemen went to hell? I feel sorry for all the animals really, who is sparing their eternal souls from the fires of damnation - I think the churches should start ordaining some dog-priests.

Oh for God's sake. This thread topic is as irritating as the one about Chris' weight and his "need" to lose it. It's really no one's business but his.

As for the marriage or mortal sin ramble it's spawned, I think it's disgusting that any religion can sit around finger pointing and telling people what they must or mustn't do or face eternal damnation. That's a load of shit. Your beliefs are your beliefs but when people start babbling about "going to Hell" for having sex, that's ludicrous. I suddenly have this vision of cavemen attempting to catch birds and beasts as they go by so they can barbecue them in the forever flames...

Never said it was my opinion old horse, merely making an observation for the sake of continuing the debate is all .......Always gets someones back up when the Bible is mentioned though ..... funny that. :D
