I just had a message from Cat(herine) - she had to go back into hospital late last night. She isn't sure what they are planning, but hopefully it will involve the removal of her gall bladder, so she can get back to her life!

Update from Cat - she had a very severe reaction to her pain meds last night, but is mending from that now. Looks possible for surgery on Friday. Slight complication apparently in that they are operating while she is jaundiced and the bile duct is blocked, so they need to fish the blocked stones out during surgery. This apparently triples the length of the surgery and means she may not be able to have keyhole - I'm guessing this is why they are waiting until Friday, to give the blockage a chance to clear by itself first like the last one did. She's a bit nervous. Her mobile is broken, but I have an alternative mobile number for her - if anyone wants it, PM me.

Ohh poor Cat! The keyhole surgery was bad enough! I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia and the gas they use to inflate your abdomen for the procedure. It was worse afterwards than the actual surgical sites. And I'd had hemorrhaging once home and a very bad reaction to the Vicodin. Gaahh! The poor thing. It's making me feel nauseous thinking about it. The jaundice and the blocked ducts sound nightmarish! Please give her my best when you speak to her, Yuds!!!

thanks you lot.i do feel loads better now, im sure i was overdosed on morphine and thats why i was dead to the world for 14 hours, throwing up any fluids that touched my lips. i think the blocked stone has moved down abit just hopefully not somewhere that it can now cause pancreatitis. im getting used to the wee smell infact i think i blend in with it quite nicely right now. take care, talk soon xxxxxx p.s miss you kendrararaararararaaaaaa
