The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Tucker Jenkins R.I.P.

Farewell Tucker Jenkins; you filled me with desire
You were always much more handsome than your schoolmate, Zammo McGuire
His hair was like a Brillo Pad, where you had gorgeous curls
and brooding looks that changed the lives of all those teenage girls
You 'Grange Hill' boys were heroes; in 'God' status you were 'demi'
I dreamed about you every night in my three-up, two-down semi
So when you left the series to appear in weekly Soap
My heart was simply torn in two; my life bereft of hope
But that was in the eighties, when I was innocent and tender
And I could never really fancy you when you were that 'East Ender'
I don't think I could quite accept Mark Fowler's H.I.V.
So in my heart is your Grange Hill part; Tucker Jenkins - R.I.P.

Going to so miss Grange Hill. Loved it when I was a teenager, even though even at that time, it did not accurately reflect real school life. :-(

But, Viv, do you watch it now?

It is thought that something like 98% of 25-35 year olds have watched an episode of grangehill at some point in their life.

I haven't seen Grange Hill for years! In fact the last time i watched it i was a kid!

It was one of those programs a lot of us grew up with and then as you left school you left the likes of GH and Blue Peter behind. I'd imagine in these changing times the likes of Grange Hill has been replaced by the likes of Hollyoaks.

I think GH was for a younger audience than Byker Grove and as you grew out of GH you kind of grew in to watching PJ & Duncan instead.
