I decided to listen to his show after hearing Chris Moyles mention him on the Breakfast Show.

I managed one hour before turning off. Gaunt is a complete twat. I know Moyles can be self obsessed but "Gaunty" is 100 times worse. Anyone who phones in and doesn't agree with his opinions is cut off and then slagged off.

Gaunt then mocked Moyles lack of listeners and said that not one of them had the balls to phone up. He also mentioned that he was considering being an MEP but hadn't worked out for which party.

I thought Jo's show was a little boring but I now know where my radio will be tuned at 10am in the future!

I think it's hilarious that a Talksport dj picks a fight with the guy who arguably put Radio 1 firmly back on the map!

From what I've heard on the show Chris loves it!

I'm listening this morning, as of 10.29 (25mins in) he had already mentioned the fact that he had the highest amount of listeners in the 10-1 slot ever wait for it........ 5 TIMES!, Including interrupting the newsreader to say "i'll be celebrating tonight...." obviously begging her to sat "why?"

He started his show with "Simply The Best"

Oh it's just got to 10:33 and he's mentioned his figures again! and in turn had a go at Moyles' free adverts before Eastenders etc. Calling him a corporate fatty boy (pot kettle)

Hope some Moyles listeners call in today as i have never listened before and i will never listen again!

Oh and another thing, his "Fansite" isn't closed as such, they just "parted company" with him after he tried unsuccesfully to pick a fight with two forum mumbers calling them "no marks" etc, who absolutely mauled him (no dump button). Then he tried offering them out for a fight if they came to one of his gigs. Then he started to delete posts from these guys.

As this forum is no longer affiliated to Jon Gaunt please could I ask all members to refrain from discussing any issues related to Jon Gaunt. We are currently deleting threads which contain Jon Gaunt discussion.

His insults caused his fansite to be closed, after that it would be too embarrassing to have the evidence on show so he had the owner of the site, Adam Admin close it. Luckily screen shots were taken.

It has been great fun listening to Moyles taking the proverbial out of Gaunt as of late - I hope Chrs gets to read these and have a good chuckle....

The comments were nothing more than banter IMO, bickering like that occurs between members on forums like that day in day out but for whatever reason Gaunt wanted the site closed and so it was. He did then go on the radio and make a comment of visiting his solicitor in regards to forum members making libelous statements against him. He did indeed accuse two members of libel.

The humour isn't so much in Gaunts crass posts as it in his total over reaction to the situation which led to him closing the fansite.

Ah, fair enough. It does seem rather petty to close down his own fansite over a few comments.

I think it all started when Gaunt asked Tucker if he wanted another photo of him, as his old ones must be all sticky right now and Tucker replied that it wasn't him that was writing in public about his wanking habits.

To be fair I don't think it was Gaunt who got the site closed, Gaunt was deliberately deleting posts (he had mod powers) all over the place, especially the ones where a certain poster kept showing him up, Ironically he was on the radio at the time saying how great it was to live in a country which allowed freedom of speech and finished of with "eh tucker ?" just as another thread was deleted.

Then the site was closed by the admin and reopened the next day, and gaunt and the forum had formally parted company.

You can make of that what you wish, the fact of the matter is, that so far he is the only "celebrity" I have heard of who is persona non grata on their own fansite.
