We all must have seen the advert with the chocolate guy when all the ladies taking a bite outta his bum and pull his arm off to eat(he's made of chocolate by the way). Well i picked up a can of Dark Temptation today, i can smell the hint of chocolate tho im still undecided as to whether or not i like the smell.

I've not seen the advert, but I saw the lynx thing in Sainsburys last week.

I too was unsure of it. I thought I could smell chocolate, but only cos it was plastered all over the display that it was chocolate scent.

I especially liked the product warning on the back that read something along the lines of "Warning - this product is designed for external use only. Not for consumption.".

well i read a review and it said something along the line of, ladies really liking the smell and guys dont mind it but think it smells kinda sweet. From a guys point of view i'd agree. Tho i suspect that my misses wont be too impressed with it. She a manager of a chocolate shop :)

But to tell the truth, cant imagine going out on a saturday night smelling of a box of thorntons. 8O

I think I'll stick to trusty Africa.

Do Lynx still do aftershave? I can't believe anyone used to buy it.

(Useless fact.. I used to be one of the people answering the phone if you rang the 0800 number on the back of a Lynx can (and any other Lever Fabergé product sold in the UK.))

Topher like yourself, and Dave I used Africa for 10 years or more, but recently switched to Loaded body spray (the blue one or yellow one) they both smell excellent.

You can do it Topher, break that cycle! Maybe a Lynx cessation clinic is needed....... :)

S4B wrote:I like Africa! What did people ring up about? I've always wondered if anyone did ring.

The most serious ones are normally skin irritations, etc. The most petty out-for-all-they-can-get arseholes (I developed a pathological intense dislike for those ones) liked to call up when one tablet out of a box of 48 was missing. The most stupid.. well there were a few, but my favourites was when someone, to save space, poured his half-full bottle of Domestos (chlorine bleach) into his half-full bottle of Domestos Ox (oxygen bleach). The bottle exploded. He wasn't happy because it wasn't clearly labelled. Next time you see a bottle of Domestos in the supermarket, have a look how * clearly labelled it is.

OH MY GOD! People never cease to astound me! Do they expect a huge payout then? How did you tell them not to * off?

My mum bought me the new Lynx when she went shopping the other week (im 19 and still live with parents). She brought it back and said its supposed to smell of chocolate. "What, crazy!" i thought. First used it. And bloody hell! It smells like the Cadbury's factory!

I can't bear the advert, it's horrible! And I'm not completely sure that chocolate is a good Personal Odour. I mean I like chocolate, but I prefer Mr Yudster to smell of something else. Fahrenheit is my favourite.......

I like Joop, it smells lush !

Pink Sure is the best antiperpirant on the Market, but don't pack it in your Kit Bag when going to play Rugby, you will get the piss ripped out of you !!!

My wife HATES it, she goes into quite an entertaining rant which can be boiled down to "I'm from there, it smells nothing like that AT ALL."

I used to like Inca before they discontinued it. Africa is by far the most popular out of all of them.

All of the Lynx things just smell too strong, and too harsh. There was an electrician in my office a couple of weeks back who was wearing Lynx, he was working in the basement and you could honestly smell him from the second floor. Not exactly subtle.

I also sometimes feature Ultra Violet (that might be Paco Rabanne).

Armani Black Code is nice but its expensive and a bastard to get a hold of.

Depending on my mood I sometimes go for Hi-Karate or if I'm on a night out on the town I go all out and splash on the Old Spice!
