Thank Christ for that.

Also, I'm not convinced that a "day" dedicated to someone is a good idea, unless it's posthumous and even then only in very, very rare cases.

He was fun to take the piss out of because he threw his toys out of his pram rather dramatically.

He left of his own accord I think, I don't think he has been barred.

You wound him up basically.

Has it been noted anywhere in this thread that Rolf Harris isn't Australian at all? He's actually Welsh............

Rolf Harris @ Wikipedia wrote:Named after Rolf Boldrewood, an Australian writer his mother admired, he was born in Bassendean, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, Australia, to Cromwell ("Crom") Harris and Agnes Margaret Harris (née Robbins) who had emigrated from Wales.

In my book that makes him Australian, though I know some others would tend to disagree.

Well he's very cool whichever he is. One of the more underrated painters of our time too, I love his work.

He may have left here of his own accord but I think I heard that he and Mr Jono had a falling out, over what I don't know...I had some time off the boards, came back and he wasn't there. Met him once, he's a nice guy.

My sister has a British dad and an American Mum. She was born in Argentina and now lives in Chile...what the heck is she?

She has 3 passports which is quite cool though..she can pick and choose!

I know some people like to think that you inherit your nationality from your parents.. but if that's the case, where do you start? You'd have to follow your family tree back thousands of years to find out what nationality you are, which is a bit silly really.

I tend to think it's where you're born, with some exceptions. I think if you've lived somewhere for a considerable amount of time then you can say you're from there.

Legally it's your paternal grandmother's nationality I think.

So Comedy Dave is Chinese? And my brother is French? And Freddie Mercury was Zanzibarian (or whatever the correct term for someone from Zanzibar is)? And my friend's little girl Scarlet is Gambian? And my colleague Michael is Zimbabwean?

I'm thinking not.

Surely Dave would be British, since he would have been born in Hong Kong at a time when it was part of the British Empire?
