The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

If you want music then yer sorted, but some dont like the playlist anyway.

The handover at 10 is unique, I rarely listen beyond that, I'm not bothered tho, if I'm getting anything upto 3 and a half hours quality radio a day then I think I've just about had my fill.

I like Jo, I think her show is very good, I prefer her to Edith I think. The 7 song shuffle and "our tune" or what ever it is is good, and she does have a good sense of humour and is a technically good DJ, and she swears allot. I also think anyone who fronts a show on their own without recourse to "team" members shows tallent. I like it when Dom does proper news on her show, he comes across allot more professionally.

She thoroughly knows her music, bands, what she's talking about, but she comes across as very nervous/anxious, and in turn, manages to make me feel nervous/anxious. I do enjoy the 7 song shuffle however.

She should in theory have it all, the biggest bands playing live on the biggest radio station, and she does know her music no doubts what so ever. But...........I find it just so dull. The live lounge is great and there have been some breath taking performances, but nothing about her makes me want to listen. She is a magnolia DJ, blending in seamlessly to the background, but having said that she is a cracking MILF :)

MILF? Jo? hmmm... too narrow eyes, and dresses too young for her years, but, whatever.

Jo Whiley is brilliant. You're all wrong.

So, what is there that's brilliant about her, Tophs? She should be brilliant, but somehow it just does not work. Would rather have Sara Cox in her slot.

But Cox isn't nearly as knowledgable as Jo about music and that slot is about music. Whiley has a laid back style and likes doing a music show, both of which are ideally suited to follow Moyles' show.

I don't like Jo's voice nor do I like the way she constantly gives away plots etc in TV programmes. If I haven't watched the previous nights Corrrie I do NOT want her telling me what happened!

I normally arrive at work just before the handoff so I don't listen to her much but I think she talks too much about crap. Music is ok but I'm just not as entertained as much as I am by Chris.

ON A SCALE OF 1-10 1 BEING MOYLES, 10 BEING BORING, WHILEY IS A DEFINATE 10!
I NEVER LISTEN PAST 10.03AM
SHE THINKS SHES IN HER 20'S, HOWEVER SARA COX'S VOICE GOES THROUGH ME!
I THINK MOYLES SHOULD BE ON ALL MORNING, 6.30-12.45
THEY WOULD THEN ENSURE 7MILLION LISTENERS RIGHT THROUGH AS APPOSED TO GOING FROM 7MILLION DOWN TO ABOUT 4MILLION AT 10.00 OR 10.03 (DEPENDING ON HOW LONG WHILEY CAN PRETEND TO LIKE MOYLES)

Beadle Poke wrote:Jo Whiley's show is mundane, tedious and about as entertaining as genital warts. How the hell she's managed to have a peek slot on radio1 for all these years is beyond me. I turn over to listen to Jon Gaunt at 10am. I'd rather listen to his fascist views than her vomit voice, bitch! ''Ohhhh I want to be the next John Peel'' Shut it Whiley!

*Applause*

I'd think it but wouldn't say it.

Hello all.
I finally got round to registering after an unhealthy 2 yr lurk. Listened to Chris for about 6-7 years, I still think he is the best thing on radio (except Russell Brand, though that is only weekly...and often a pre-record and after 9pm so unfair to compare really!)

I completely agree that Jo's show is a bit drab. I think part of that is due to the fact that she follows Moyles. It feels like; "ok, you've had you fun...no it's time to get serious about music..." YAWN!

Anyway, Jo's show is good because it marks the time the Ricky Gervais/ Russell Brand podcast starts or the Might Boosh cd goes in. (I drive a lot!)

Cheers,

ALFIE

Other than the Live lounge I've never found anything of interest in Jo's show - I'm baffled as to why she's got a Radio 1 gig.

She's got virtually no charisma, zero wit and is just plain dull to listen to!

I haven't listened to her show since I got my iPod - I drive a lot so it's Moyles, iPod untill Mills, then iPod again!

Whiley does my f*****g head in! I either turn the radio off and listen to cd's, put my local radio station on, or turn it down and block her out. Her voice is so one toned and she keeps trying to enforce her OPINION onto the listeners and basically TELLS them what to like and what not to like, what to watch and what not to watch.

Her "Experts" are aload of crap aswell! Especially that finacial pr1ck! So aggressive he's almost exactly the same as Whiley.

Agree with what someone else said about Moyles being on til 12:45, then Edith at 1. The time that Moyles was on until 11:30(ish) then Edith from then til 4 was quality. Mainly because Moyles was unplanned and it was the best hour and a half of radio ive heard in ages.
