Ok

For a number of months now I have been finding Dave's Fat comments about Chris very uncomfortable.

Chris is very professional and only rarely asks Dave to wind his neck in.

In all today I think I heard in the hour or so I was listening Dave do about 6 Fat Bitches about Chris.

Two in particular was the Gold Latex, you would look like a Ferrero Roche, and you could fit the cast of Scissor hands in his trousers.

Now I now Chris takes the Micheal allot, but if I was with someone who was constantly bitching about me being Fat I would have to eventually tell then to just Cough.

So I thought it would be a nice thread to get people to guess prior to the show how many Fat Bitches will Dave have in a show, and then see who is right.

No I am not sad enough to keep score so I suggest that we start with this Friday, and have a guess at how many Fat Bitches Dave will have at Chris during the show, the winner will get a free supply of Oxygen for the day ( albeit mixed with other innert gases in a ratio of approx 20:80)

Do I need to get out more ? Well perhaps, but I really would personally find it very annoying to be continually barracked with Fat Jokes, when it's my show, and Dave is sat there all slitty eyed and big nosed looking like Julian Clarey meets Jackie Chan, sniping at me every link and at every possible moment to make comments about how Fat I am, when I know I am Fat, and I know I am also attractive, and popular, and without me he would be a low paid salary producer of the night shift with no chance of getting a big house in the country, and lovely little family and going out hob nobing it with MY mates like Vernon etc.

Done !

Wow! What a post! I agree about the fat jibes. Chris has long poked fun at himself about being fat, but it's become basically an invitation for others to do it too, and then, well, it just isn't so funny at all.

I think Moyles likes the banter, they're pretty much best of friends, right? Dave's just having a laugh and Moyles takes the piss out of his own weight.

Well speaking as a fat bastard it really makes no difference how many times people take the piss, I DONT CARE. If I had a job and I spent a large amount of my working day taking the piss out of people, then I'd have to expect a fair bit back. It's always funny to take the piss out of someones features, if it's done in the right way, and I think Dave does it in the right way.

You are quite right though, Dave would probably be earning £2.47 an hour without Moyles!

Are they though? the best of friends? Or does Dave just simply know where his bread is buttered? I always think he sounds much happier with Chappers, who tends to hog the limelight considerably less.

Is there a theory which means you project your own personality traits onto media people ?

I think there must be as I think that Chris and Dave are friends, have been good friends, but now although tolerated Chris finds much of the team at time tedious. Like the time he was late and Dave Dom and Rachel were rubbish, he said they should be able to do a better job after all the time he had been showing them how it's done. I feel like that about people, and hence when I tell them, they tend not to want to be friends any more. I don't care much, as I can't be something that I am not, but I just think, that some of his jokes about being fat are original and funny, but many arn't and it would be those just pointless digs that would ultimately mean that I would have to have an up and downer with the man to straighten him out. The friends I have, have all experienced this, and are the sort of people that say fair enough, by the way I don't like it when you............ it's all said and done and we move on.

anyway, any guesses for the number of fat jibes he will make on Friday's show ?

Are you feeling alright?

And guesses for Friday = 8.

I guess 7! After working together for years they must pee each other off, but I always laugh when they take the piss out of Chris being fat. If he was a mild mannered, do no harm sort of character then it would be wrong, but he's not. He takes the piss for a living and is very good at it, and I think even he knows that he has to put up with some when he gives so much out. It's par for the course. If it was nasty and not funny it would be wrong, but (only in my opinion) it's quite funny

Boboff, have you swallowed a dictionary this morning?

Or are you just road-testing a new keyboard... you sure are typing a lot.

I am very well thank you. Looking forward to Mrs Boboffs 30th Birthday on Thursday, and then Hot Disco with the Top DJ Boboff on the decks on Saturday night.

My guess for Friday is 19.

Speaking as another fat person on this board who pokes fun at herself for it a LOT I agree with Boboff here. I get the jibes in before anyone else can, it's a kind of defence mechanism. If you make fun of yourself, yes you do open the field for everyone else, but it doesn't mean it doesn't still hurt a little when your mates do it too. It also gets a little tedious but as you have started it you feel you can't do anything to stop it without seeming stupid.

I'm trying to lose weight this year (NOT a new year resolution, just a thing I would like to do). It's bloody hard work and also soul destroying when you've been really good and not shed a pound while your skinny friends pig out on all kinds of crap in volume in front of you and don't put on an ounce.

I would guess that Chris feels that, as he says the things he does about himself, he can't tell his best mate that these things hurt a little when constantly reminded that he's fat. I feel for him a little each time one of these jibes are made. I know that Chris probably accepts that it adds to the humour of the show but that doesn't stop it hurting.

I am only guessing but I think Chris couldn't give a toss about the fat jibes, after all he's fat and mouthy, so has to expect a bit back. It's just a characteristic that people pick up on, in the same way that if he had increibly large ears that would get picked up too. It's a bit of a laugh, and Chris is a big boy (I really didn't mean that pun!!)

Good luck with the weight loss, S4B. You can get diet tips via your mobile! :-) If this helps at all.

No, I think it's more "tip of the day"... sort of motivational type ideas. My cousin gets them, and likes them a lot. She's huge. About a size 22.

See the "She's huge" bit is not necessary there Viv.

I'm trying not to think of it as a diet by the way.

Ladbroke - I give the impression of not giving a toss about the fat jokes, doesn't stop it hurting.

Tip of the Day. Eat less, exercise more ! Come on you Fat Twat, stop sitting at that desking type shite on a Forum get up and go for a Walk, and not to get a Pasty you Lard Arse. ( Any takers on Boboffs tip's to slim out there ?)

Size 22 isn't huge Viv. It's all about height as well. Mrs Boboff's weight fluctuates ( I do love getting here those 38DD Bra's though!) but at 6ft and at a size 20 she is still pretty attractive, ok a few stone less and at a size 16 she is bloody amazin, but it was my fault making here carry those big babies and stretching her to bits !

Baggie, sorry if you think I am being a touch verbose, I don't know why, it's just one of those days !

I don't think size 22 is healthy, and she sweats like a pig in Summer. Not good for the health.

See again unnecessary comments Viv, sweats like a pig is not going to help her. If she is self-conscious all you will do with comments like that is make her feel worse and trust me depression and overweight is not a good combination - I should know!

Boboff - I am now a G - but strangely only in M&S everywhere else I seem to be an FF

Sweats like a pig in season !

S4, just be happy with who you are and what you are, eat healthily, little fat, little meat, no bread or pastry or cake, or alcohol and you will be the size you are.

Can I tell you about my Brother ? He has special needs, not sure what they are really, he says Aspergers, any way he's very reserved, insular, retentive, Lies about every thing, is moody, on Medication etc. Anyway before Christmas we get him to agree to go to Slimming World in January with Mrs Boboff, he has lost 6 1/2 lb from his 25st 2lb start weight (height 5ft 9, BMI 52!)and got slimmer of the week yesterday, how Fantastic is that ! We set a target of 18st by September last night with him.

He has a huge testicular Hernia which is the size of a rugby ball, and it needs operating on to sort out and stop the water swelling it, he has a dodgy knee, Asma, and struggles to walk 100yds, so I am really pleased that he he doing it. I cooked him up 4 meals to take home with him which are Syn free, so hopefully he will have another good week this week. I told him I didn't think he had any mental health issues apart from he was Fat and depressed, and that if he didn't do something soon he would die. I ironed his 5XL T Shirt and pants the other day ( we were going out so I laundered his clothes to stop them smelling) they were MASSIVE. He is 40 in 2 months time.

Viv size 22 may or not be Healthy, sweating is not a good sign though. But bear in mind, it could be much worse love.

Moyles uses fat jibes on himself and others. I don't think he gives a toss (note not just giving the appearance he doesn't give a toss.)

OK, you pick something out about me that could be considered sensitive. Let me tell you, you will not hurt me, whatever you try.

Also, Ladbroke said he's a fat bloke and he agrees with me.

I can't think of anything that I think might hurt you and I wouldn't want to anyway. Not being overweight you will NEVER understand this issue.
