I know this may seem quite a bizarre topic, but what would you ideal mod actually be on a forum?

Would you like a decisive, strong character who can quickly make a stand? Or would your ideal be someone who is a bit "weaker" (if you like), and who has a more liberal approach?

Totally depends on the forum. I am a moderator on one and a very liberal approach is needed there, in fact I've been criticised for being too strict. But the reason I moderate that one is that it's mostly populated and moderated by Americans, and so they need someone who can be around during the hours of 8am-1pmish UK time, when most yanks are still asleep! On another I use the mods are incredibly strict and swift to act with even a hint of rudeness or bad language, which I like but it's hard to gauge what's acceptable if you don't know. This forum I'd say needs a middle ground.
