Alright, here it is, my new tat. It was hard to get a decent pic of this one cos it's on my lower leg (and the light in my flat is rubbish), but I'm very pleased with it.

From now on that's what I imagine you look like...but with red hair.

It's really good. Did you design it?

Nah, it's by an artist called Olivia de Bernardis. Alas, I cannot draw (wish I could!)

Cool!. Looks really nice. Have one on my back, didnt really hurt much as i didnt have to see it being do. Just wondered if you watched as it was being done, or just read a book or as i had to, the same posters about 12 times.

Does it hurt less if you don't look at them doing it?!

But I don't see how the pain can be lessened by not looking at it. That must be a psychological thing.

('lol' is banned by the way.)

Some of it I watched, but some of the time I was looking at the designs on the walls, or watching the other girl in there get hers done! I have a high pain threshold so watching it being done doesn't bother me at all. But I like to chat to the artists so reading a book would seem a bit anti-social to me.

And mark, if you wanna tell me how disgusting or unfeminine tats are please go ahead, I've heard it all before...

See if a women ever says to you "does my bum looks big in this" - don't ever reply with "yes".

Your safest option is simply: "no"

Or do what I do and say "Your bum looks big no matter what you are wearing". But you might not have the wit, charm and looks to pull that off.

Isn't that extremely sexist? (I don't know why I'm surprised, it goes quite well with the rest of your bigoted views.)

You can slag him for the juggling, for the odd comments and for the slightly bizarre sense of humour, but you can't deny - the lad has taste.

Haha. Foot-loose's opinion has become so totally invalid that even markool89 agrees with him.

I can't imagine how, with almost waist-length hair and 38Es, I could look like a man even if I was trying. Which I'm not. I wear skirts almost every day, always wear makeup, jewellery and nail polish and love beauty, fashion and pin-up culture. Generally, I consider myself quite feminine. (That said, unfeminine and tacky are not the same thing.)

Nobody is ever gonna force anyone to have tats if they don't like them, so the detractors can simply avert their eyes. I love all my tattoos, and I plan to carry on getting them. If I remain single because of them, well, so be it. I don't decorate my body to please men, I do it to please myself.
