Following the discussion going on in a random thread about Tom and Jerry, what is your favourite cartoon?

I think mine has to be Road Runner (Speedii Maximus) and Coyote (Ravenous Wolfus). They did exactly the same thing every single cartoon, but it was still comedy everytime he fell off that cliff. Or painted a tunnel in the wall that Road Runner can run into, then Coyote runs into the wall and falls over, then Road Runner comes driving a lorry out and runs over him - brilliant.

Tom and Jerry fall into the same category - always the same gags, but always brilliant.

I agree with the above three, but for me Tom and Jerry is the best ever, even after 50 or 60 years. I won't have time tonight and possibly not tomorrow but I'm really going to have to go through YouTube and find some of the old cartoons I loved.

I saw a Tom and Jerry that talked once.. it was crap. I know in the normal episodes they occasionally say the odd words, but they're basically silent, which is how it should be.

Also did you know.. Mayor Quimby from the Simpsons is named after Fred Quimby, who did the producing (or directing or both) on most of the Tom and Jerry cartoons (obviously Itchy and Scratchy is a more graphic version of Tom and Jerry anyway.)

I didn't know that, but when I watched that Tom and Jerry youtube thing you sent me the other day, I noticed his name and did make the connection. Maybe that's the psychic thing that Viv is babbling on about.

I totally agree with these, plus i also like sheep dog 'n' wolf (i think thats the name of it). The one where Ralph wolf tried to steal the sheep but Sam Sheepdog kept stopping him.

My all time fave though is Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner

Bugs Bunny (the best!), Daffy Duck,Tom and Jerry, "Shmoo" and any with Donald Duck (not Mickey and especially not Goofy!). Also Pinky & the Brain, Animaniacs, Two Angry Beavers, Two Stupid Dogs and Spongebob.
