Sad thing is my generic music playing device that you can also make calls from loves it and when I put it on shuffle it keeps coming up as every third song and no I don't have it 132 times before anyone asks!

It does love certain songs and hate others though...It refuses to play Shed 7 - Dolphin on shuffle!

Some MP3 players try to predict your favourite songs in random mode by what you listen to the most when not in random mode, don't they? Maybe you've been playing it lots when not in random mode too.

As far as fruit based telecomunications equipment goes, I prefer my Blackberry I know my iPod has a '25 most played songs' playlist, so maybe this is on the iPhone too? It's actually quite an embarrasing playlist as anyone who picks up my iPod can see the dross I listen to on a regular basis!

I had a spectacular embarrassing moment a couple of weeks ago as I walked into the changing room at the gym and bumped the headphones out of my phone which I was using as an MP3 player. This made the loudspeaker on the phone take over so everyone got a blast of what I was listening to...

No. Foolishly I tried to just turn it off, but the keylock had come on so I need to put my pin code in to turn it off. I would have been quicker just plugging the headphones back in. This has happened before in the gym but normally it is in the gym itself where the background noise is louder. That said, the guy beside me on the crosstrainer looked at me funny when he got a blast of the Moyles opening song.

I've seen myself looking around at all the people who are basically the definition of 'fit'... people who are as strong as genetically modified bulls... people who you would expect to have to apply for planning permission every time they go somewhere cos they are that well built... and they are all listening to their mp3 players. I wonder what they are listening to and I wonder if I am actually the only person in the building with the Chucklevision theme resounding in my ears.
