I agree it wasn't a great interview, but I like Kelly Osbourne, she's honest, straightforward and very funny.

we appear to have been listening to two completely different broadcasts. :?

I don't think so - You are saying Kelly sounded unhappy - I'd possibly agree with that, like I said, it wasn't a great interview. But when Chris gets pissed off with someone he makes it pretty clear, and he was never anything other than good natured with Kelly this morning. I think you're projecting your own response to Kelly Osbourne on to Chris - just because you didn't like her, doesn't mean he didn't.

I never said he disliked her. He just didn't seem to buy into her desperate attention-seeking for her new show. And, I used to like her.... until yesterday.

So why would you say he showed great restraint by not throwing her out, if he was perfectly happy with her? What was he restraining exactly?!

Right, this is my last post in this thread, because it's boring me... I would have said he was restraining himself from saying what he really thought about someone who works, after all, for the same station. Politics.

Threads only ever seem to bore you when people disagree with you and use valid arguments to support their points. But on this occasion, you're quite right, it is boring. I'll stop too.

No, they bore me when they start to "circle" as I call it... going round and round and circles where neither party will back down.

You never back down from anything, why should anyone else?! I know what you mean though.

Viv - she deserves it more than I do.

I do think that Chris' flirting with guests has got way, way out of hand. She sounded uncomfortable and unhappy and he should realise that that made bad radio. I was cringeing and almost switched off. Or is it that his flirting has always been this bad and it's only now that it's starting to grate on me?

Anyway...Kelly is a Radio 1 DJ now, so she's hardly a guest at all. I know she has a tv show to plug, but still. I've never really liked her anyway, so I didn't enjoy the interview at all.

This flirting is getting a bit much. The constant drooling at every female that enters the Studio. I don't think his flirting has always been this bad. Not as I recall anyhow.

I always think the flirting is funny. She did, however, seem to be a put off by it. Strange girl!!

As I said, if the guest is getting into the spirit of it, it can be very funny but if they don't he can come across as a bit creepy.

Don't forget that 5 years ago he was only 19 (+10) and that's ok when you're flirting with a Hollyoaks actress who's probably 24 or something, now he's a lot older and it does sometimes sound a bit cringeworthy....

but If I were in his shoes I'D probably flirt with the women as well!

He's not 80 for Christ's sake! Besides that Roxanne girl had been dating a teenage boy. That might be construed by some as being cringeworthy

I agree with this - if she really was acting properly mardy he'd have made it known the second she was out the door. I don't think it was a great interview - but they are 2 quite like-minded people and seemed to be happy slagging eachother off (whilst still being good friends).
