Who else agrees that people in "pop land" may not be quite right. Check this, which I found in today's "Daily Record"!!!

Dance music "guru" Moby is grateful, it seems, that he lives on Earth and not anywhere else!!

He has said, "I was just watching a National Geographic special on the other planets in our solar system. Note to self: don't try to live anywhere except for Earth. As exotic as living on, say, Jupiter might seem, said exotic-ism might be tempered by the fact that it is actually just toxic gas, and a mercury core with a density that is 14,000 times of our friendly little Earth. Maybe a nice place to visit, but not exactly somewhere you might think about settling down and raising a family".

Er... d'uh.

Pop stars are meant to be a bit crazy tho. It's in the job description. I love Moby. Not his music, just something about him I find very...beguiling.

I like his stuff too, but that quote just stopped me in my tracks.

The drugs probably don't add to sanity either; not that I'm saying all pop-stars are insane due to drugs of course...some are insane for other reasons.

Do they suffer from "consolism"?

Moby is as clean living as you can get though. He doesn't even touch eggs let alone crack!

Does this mean we all have to bow down and worship Console? I'm not sure I like that idea.

Bowing down isn't a requirement, but is appreciated. The £5,000 sign-up fee, however, is mandatory, although there is a 50% off deal running until the end of the month, so sign up now, and save £2,500.

On the normal price, yes, but not on the already discounted one; I'm not running a charity here.

I'd never sign up to someone who doesn't appreciate the preciousness and value of life. Don't do it, Charla.

Then, Viv, I'm afraid that you'll be going to Kapla, which is essentially what other religions refer to as 'hell', although Kapla is far worse, and real, so if you don't join us you'll certainly be heading there. King Kapla, the one that rules over the filth that resides in his domain, also doesn't wait until death to take those he feels are worthy to join his ranks, he can strike at any time, so you'd better join us quickly or be forever damned; it's not about us, it's about you.

I have something called my "own mind", thank you, and a capability of deciding for myself. And, if anything, it is YOU that will go to Hell at this rate.

Then I am truly sorry for you charlottie, and we ask such a small price for everlasting love and peace.

NO, it wasn't. I know you like to play your mind games, but I am presently psyching you out! :-)

It's what I call the "sunshine technique"... where you send out negative vibes, or comments, and I send you "psychic sunshine" back.

This isn't mad, it's an effective technique.

It doesn't appear to be very effective at the moment, Viv.

You always appear to claim victory, when actually everyone knows you haven't 'won'. Are you really Comical Ali, the former Iraqi Information Minister?

Look, I don't wish to claim victory, but Console does have a habit of practically forcing his non-beliefs in everyone's face.

As for this religiony thingy - do you accept credit cards? They keep giving me more free money and not asking for it back. I think it's a fantastic idea to spend as much of it now before they realise.

That man was a genius: "We are throwing out the American infedels - Iraq has NOT been conquered!"... meanwhile, over his shoulder, you see the tanks driving down the road behind him. Brilliant.
