But Ez is a much more caring and generous hearted person than you Topher, as she can see someone she cares about making what might possibly be a very large and life changing (if not life-ruining) mistake. How could she not be concerned unless she hated this person? And why would she hate him? Just because someone is no longer an integral part of your life, I cant see how their wellbeing suddenly stops being something you would care about on some level or another, unless they are a real horror.

I understand that.. I probably would be worried if I thought someone I had been with was making a mistake that would ruin their life, but I guess because I haven't keep in contact with many (and the one that I have hasn't made that mistake so far) and therefore don't know what they're up to, it's not something that really enters my head very often.

Also, I thought I detected a hint of jealousy from Ezza's post, which I may not have done.

I'm in a VERY BAD mood. I'm an outcast in my family at the moment. Few people are actually talking to me. I've got to go to the dox tomorrow, and I don't want to go. I'm annoyed because I can't drink any alcohol with my pills, and I am growing increasing tired of MILK, WATER, COLA and CREAM SODA. And it's bitterly cold (although the sun is shining). Even though I have been told off for talking about the weather on here, I am going to talk about it anyway this morning. I am VERY CROSS.

Not jealous. I still haven't worked out what I saw in him.

How have you managed to upset your entire family Viv? I hope it calms down soon, whatever has happened.

As for the drink, it won't kill you to be on the wagon with your meds, and if it's really difficult, that might be an indication that it is even more important for you to avoid it for a while......?

I've upset my family because I wouldn't attend my uncle's funeral. Neither would my big cousin, so we are both outcasts at the moment.

I don't drink lots of alcohol in the first place, yuds, but I do like a random small bottle of red wine every so often. Like Charla says, it was particularly annoying because it was the holiday period.

Funerals are awful, and if you didn't have a good relationship witht he person who died, there is no reason you should go if you don't want to. And if your family are unhappy about that, maybe they don;t understand why you didn;t like him? Surely if they knew what your reasoning was, they would be sensitive to your feelings? I hope it all settle down Viv, what a dismal way to start a new year. It can only get better I guess.

Yep, it can only get better. You're right. My family are not really sensitive to other people's feelings unfortunately. About as sensitive as a brick wall.

Annoying me today is myself. I can't help thinking I care and think too much about other people, but yet I can't help but think if I've annoyed others or have doen something wrong.

You need a lot of money to rent a flat honey, it's not just the rent it's the utilities, council tax, furnishings, food etc. Think it through carefully.

I second this, you really need to do your maths before you do this, to make sure you can afford it.. you're highly unlikely to get anywhere on your own, you're probably better off moving in with a mate who also has a job, if you have got your heart set on it.

Ooh a shared house, haven't lived in one of them for years since I was at uni. It's fun when you're there but I couldn't do it again, not now.

I'm back at work today, that's enough to induce depression to set in.

Good luck with your plans Cat, although I hope it doesn't mean you are thinking of ditching college. Its a big decision. I hope something turns up for you anyway.

The next thing that's annoying me now is the fact that the only food in this stupid office is Custard Creams. I can't stand Custard Creams!

You can tell I've been away............
